I hope they win their appeal. This ban is just so outrageous!

Malisse already reacted, in tears, saying he would quit professional tennis if the ban stays like it is now.

Huh ? It says on the sporza website they still don't know if they will launch an appeal at the TAS :shrug:

Xavier Malisse en Yanina Wickmayer hebben op een persconferentie laten weten dat ze nog niet weten of ze beroep willen aantekenen bij het TAS. "Een procedure bij het TAS kost handenvol geld", zei Malisse. "Maar als deze straf behouden blijft, betekent dit het einde van mijn carrière."

They should both completely ignore or at least do no more than just go through the motions of the prescribed sports ruling hierarchy and move the case directly to the European Court of Human Rights.

it's just odd though-I remember reading some articles a few weeks ago in which everyone thought these 2 would only be slapped with warnings and then yesterday suddenly they were hit with 1 year suspensions.

i think they both have a good chance of overturning this decision :shrug:
