the only way Kimiko can qualify is Anabel winning in 2 tomorow with a game ratio between +4 and +6 ie

7-6, 6-3,
7-6, 6-2
7-6, 6-1
7-5, 7-5
7-5, 6-4
7-5, 6-3
7-5, 6-2
6-4, 7-5
6-4, 6-4
6-4, 6-3
6-4, 6-2
6-3, 7-6
6-3, 7-5
6-3, 6-4
6-3, 6-3
6-2, 7-6
6-2, 7-5
6-2, 6-4

Because, Kimiko is W/L : 1/1, sets : 2/2, games W/L: (21/20) = +1
Anabel is 0/1, 0/2, (7/12)=-5
Yanina is 1/0, 2/0, (13/9)=+4

If Anabel doesn't win in 2, Wickmayer is qualified.
If Anabel win in 2, and games W/L > 6, Anabel is qualified
_______________________W/L < 4, Yanina is qualified
_______________________4 < W/l > 6, Kimiko is qualified

Isn't h2h a factor like at the SEC? Cause if it's the same rules as SEC roundrobbing kimiko would advance based on h2h. I really hope wickmayer is allowed to play though.

if vera wins surely kimiko is in the semi's as vera cant surely go through having not completed 2 matches and AMG will not have a win.

this is provided wickmayer is not allowed to play.

Right. And even if Medina wins against Vera than the H2H will count in favor of Kimiko. So I think Kimiko is already in the semifinal.

But still horrible news for Wickmeyer. She had such a great year

Belgian newspaper De Morgen has a statement from Yanina's spokesperson.

TRANSLATION: "Yanina is not aware of the sentence (it's night in Bali) but she will not play tomorrow," says a devastated spokesperson Rudi Kuyl, who is sitting together with lawyer Johnny Maeschalk to see what further steps they will take. "That is all I want to say about this now."

By my knowledge 100% if wickmayer doesn't play tomorrow. And wickmayer's spokeperson said she wouldn't play tomorrow but she doesn't even know the verdict yet.

I'm APPAULED that the doping tribunal doesn't even inform players themself before they make it public. :o

And the day ended with a surprisingly convincing win by 39-year old Date Krumm. She looked far fitter and moved more swiftly than her opponent, and always held the advantage in the second set after claiming the first.

"I’m very excited because I didn’t know if I could win this match today, but I fought for every point and had very clear tactics," said Date Krumm. "I tried to force her backhand and mix it up, hitting down the middle and then out wide."

And it worked.

I'd be happy for Kimiko if she advances to SF...but sad for Wickmayer... she's such an upcoming player with lots of future... a year suspension is harsh!! I remember Ai was saying one time she felt annoyed by the rule..and she felt like someone was following around her all the time... she also said "well, rule is rule" so she was following the rule... how sad... Hope Wickmayer still can play though!!

In Kimiko's blog, she thought Medina would change more tactics so Kimiko was preparing for other tactics for the match, but Medina really didn't... so Kimiko said she just used the same tactic as she did in Korea and it surely worked again.

Thrilled Kimiko is in the semifinals although this is a far from the way I would chose for it to happen as could be.

Wickmayer is very far from being a favourite of mine, fact is I don't care for the girl at all, but seeing a misjustice like this carried out by a bunch of powercrazy anal-retentive idiots leaves a really unpleasant taste in the stomach.

Still, at the start of the week there were three players, Date-Krumm, Martinez Sanchez and Rybarikova that I wanted to see make it to the semifinals. Of the three none was seeded and two were the lowest ranked in their group. But somehow two out of the three have indeed somehow made it to the semis so I got to be happy about that. :)

Normally she would get 270 points for the SF.

But the official rule says you get only the amount of points and money if you are undefeated in group rounds

I am confused about the points she gets and her new ranking, and when that comes out. Based on her group performance already completed, and then what about depending on how she does in the next round. Can anybody clarify?

35 points for losing to Wickmayer
35 + 90 for winning against AMG

= 160 points

No additionnal points for reaching the SF

SF win +170
F win +180
