What a match!! Graf a 7 times wimbledon champion and you could see why!! Also Venus would be a multiple wimbledon winner was also quite obvious in her performance.

This is the best part of the match:

I don't understand one thing about Venus Williams, back then you could see some points of improvement and she did improve to dominate some time later. But her inconsistency since last few years is beyond my level of understanding. She was much more consistent back then.

she was more consistent there but when she is just content to rally instead of forcing the issue its understandable.

Her FH has improved a lot
but the BH is nowhere that good

She's slower now too

No wonder Graf won. Venus was no where near her best there :help:

What's even weirder to me is how Chris Evert Lloyd Mill Norman and Dick Enberg are marveling over shots that are pretty common today on the womens tour. Namely the first pt where Venus retrieves a backhand in the corner and the volley winner that Graf hits on the next point.

Even the Wimbledon final was very high quality when I watch it these days, even though it looked lackluster back then.

Actually Steffi suffers from wrist injury in that match and she injured in semis may causes to lose in finals!
