Kimiko Date-Krumm's blog lists Bali as her next tournament!frenchie Oct 28th, 2009, 07:00 AM :hearts:Sounds promising for her Great choice of WC:worship: Sassy-Na Oct 28th, 2009, 07:06 AM congratulations, date. :p Nicolas Oct 28th, 2009, 07:09 AM Fantastic! Go Kimiko :D Imperfect Angel Oct 28th, 2009, 07:27 AM Come on! Give those youngsters a lesson.:rocker: Caralenko Oct 28th, 2009, 07:30 AM :speakles: :yippee: This tournament will not be the total pile of crap that everyone is exaggerating it to be. They gave a WC to a player that did win an International tournament, so it is a valid spot for Kimiko :) Drake1980 Oct 28th, 2009, 07:33 AM :hearts: ^bibi^ Oct 28th, 2009, 07:33 AM what about this tournament being a chance for young up and coming players ? :help: ex hopman Oct 28th, 2009, 07:39 AM what about this tournament being a chance for young up and coming players ? :help: well, she's not young... but she can be considered as upcoming (again). :worship: switz Oct 28th, 2009, 07:43 AM the tournament needs a selling point so it's good decision. If Kimiko just wins a match it will make more headlines than anything else the tournament could offer. switz Oct 28th, 2009, 07:44 AM actually i'll wait til it's confirm before calling it a decision Shvedbarilescu Oct 28th, 2009, 07:45 AM well, she's not young... but she can be considered as upcoming (again). :worship: Yup. This really is like a 2nd career for Kimiko. And her 2nd career has actually only been going 18 months, so while in tennis terms she is admittedly anything but young she is indeed definately still upcoming. She is still in the early stages of career two I would say. :) Ferg Oct 28th, 2009, 08:29 AM Yay! :woohoo: Em_Seeker Oct 28th, 2009, 08:34 AM looking forward to see her play in Bali:yippee: tennisplayer Oct 28th, 2009, 08:35 AM so the second one goes to schnyder right? drake3781 Oct 28th, 2009, 08:35 AM I like this one better than yec. Renalicious Oct 28th, 2009, 08:36 AM :worship: Thanks Bali Organisers!! mr_burns Oct 28th, 2009, 08:51 AM Bali - with or without Kimiko - is far away from becoming a tournament for young and upcoming players...there are some in the draw, but Bartoli, Stosur, MG, Martinez Sanchez are not young and not really upcoming (ok Sam is) so it's totally fine, if kimiko gets one...anyway the whole concept suck if it was for the young stars...Just make the rule best 12 players under 20 or whatever... FrOzon Oct 28th, 2009, 08:54 AM Just make the rule best 12 players under 20 or whatever... :worship: I'll better wait until it is confirmed but WCs to a 30y and a 39y is :help: Golovinjured. Oct 28th, 2009, 09:02 AM :bigclap: samsam4087 Oct 28th, 2009, 09:10 AM Well done Kimiko SELVEN Oct 28th, 2009, 09:16 AM so who is the other one:confused: tennisforadults Oct 28th, 2009, 09:23 AM :worship: I'll better wait until it is confirmed but WCs to a 30y and a 39y is :help: I think you people are taking the WTA's desire to showcase up-and-coming young players too far. It is only one of several reasons to have this tournament - NOT the only reason. This is not a junior tournament - it needs to have quality players playing quality games. So what if they offered WCs to over-30s? I'm sure the youngsters don't mind a test from the old foxes. Rising Sun Oct 28th, 2009, 10:06 AM Kimiko :D Some of you think WTA tourneys should only WCs to young players? Isn't that ageism? :weirdo: ce Oct 28th, 2009, 10:09 AM :inlove: i cant wait to see her play :inlove: The Untouchable Oct 28th, 2009, 10:17 AM it needs to have quality players playing quality games. And that is the problem.Patty, Kimiko?:tape: ce Oct 28th, 2009, 10:19 AM And that is the problem.Patty, Kimiko?:tape:  Nicolas Oct 28th, 2009, 10:19 AM I like this one better than yec. Me too :D And whoever says it should be given to young upcoming player..... just stay quiet thx  FrOzon Oct 28th, 2009, 10:38 AM I think you people are taking the WTA's desire to showcase up-and-coming young players too far. So what if they offered WCs to over-30s? I'm sure the youngsters don't mind a test from the old foxes. Nothing against Kimiko but she's no quality player... and Schnyder this year?? Kleybanova, Cibulkova, Lisicki, Wozniak, Pavlyuchenkova... FrOzon Oct 28th, 2009, 10:38 AM  But he's right! MyskinaManiac Oct 28th, 2009, 10:42 AM Daniela said that she had been offered a wild card. Patty is almost a sure bet to get one. I'm not sure about this. itzhak Oct 28th, 2009, 10:46 AM Lisicky Is The 2nd Wc! nevetssllim Oct 28th, 2009, 10:48 AM According to a poster on Schnyder's sub-forum, she's been given a WC :bounce: mk27 Oct 28th, 2009, 10:48 AM According to a poster on Schnyder's sub-forum, she's been given a WC :bounce: Tournament website said Date-Krumm and Lisicki http://www.commbanktennis.com/ The Untouchable Oct 28th, 2009, 10:49 AM http://www.commbanktennis.com/ Yay, very nice for Biene. :worship: nevetssllim Oct 28th, 2009, 10:49 AM Tournament website said Date-Krumm and Lisicki http://www.commbanktennis.com/  Xepher Oct 28th, 2009, 11:04 AM Kimiko :hearts: tennisforadults Oct 29th, 2009, 05:17 AM And that is the problem.Patty, Kimiko?:tape: There is at least more quality than giving tournament places to a bunch of teenagers who may not have proven their abilities (such as winning a tier 3 title). I was arguing against having only young upcoming stars in the tournament... | |
