Back in 2002 the rankings must have had Hingis, Davenport, Serena, Venus, Henin and Clijsters in the top 10? Does anyone know when the deepest and strongest top 5 occurred?

This is what I was wondering. Has there been a top five with more depth? This takes the cake as far as I have seen. Back in the day there was always 1 or 2 or 3 dominant players... but so rarely a dominant top 5. selestribe Oct 28th, 2009, 12:09 AM During Monica's heyday in the early 90s, this is what the Top 5 was: Monica Seles Steffi Graf Gabriela Sabatini Martina Navratilova Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario To win 7 of 8 Slams and reach the finals of 30 of the last 31 tournaments in such a strong Top 5. :worship: = 54 grand slams!
