It's shocking that thanks to the stupid scheduling most of the top Russians can't play here, their home tournament, because they have to rest before Doha. Would the US-based WTA have scheduled a top US tournament the week before Doha, I wonder?

Philadelphia was scheduled before the YEC when it was in NY and LA. It actually had a very respectable field year after year.
