Sabine´s quarter of the draw!

[1]Safina-Vinci
Zhang-Benesova
Wickmayer-Kleybanova
Rybarikova-[14]Bartoli
[10]Pennetta-Han
Kirilenko-Q
Lisicki-Schiavone
Cirstea-[7]Zvonarena

Interesting 1st round for Sabine, Schiavone could be tough, especially with her bh slice, but Sabine should be able to overpower her with her groundstrokes!

I hope Sabine is able to win some matches here, her quarter is not that bad, everything is possible here, good luck :D

Francesca is a difficult opponent for a 1st rd, often underestimated (see Wimby this yr). If Bienchen prevails Bepa or Sori are waiting. Even more difficult...

I'm a bit pessimistic about a 3rd rd showing...

Nonetheless good luck against Francesca !

Both, Vera and Cirstea, aren´t in good shape, especially Cirstea!
If Sabine wins first round and found some rhythm she has a great chance to reach the 3rd round or even more, I think!

Oh Sabine :tape: 0-6 to Schiavone. This doesn't bode well for her confidence, at all... 9 DFs in the first set.

This is unbelievable.
How can somebody get injured so often?

Do we know exactly what the injury was this time?
Was she scheduled to play in Osaka?

Sabine wasnt injured, probably! :)
Obviously she retired "only" because of illness!

Francesca Schiavone (ITA) d. Sabine Lisicki (GER) 60 10 ret. (GI illness)

I don't know, maybe extrem bad luck. She was injured or ill at so many tournaments this year.

GI should mean "gastrointestinal".
Her next tournament should be Luxembourg.

According to german press, she has a cold.

someone told me twitter is banned in china.
So don't expect any updates from Sabine via twitter until she's back in USA/Europe.
