Welcome to Moscow, Russia. Last week saw Cornet claim the title in Beijing and close the gap on Hantuchova & Venus at the top. This is the final event before the season-ending championships and the top players will be looking to tweak their games. The Top 6 in the Race have already qualified but with the race being run so close this season, there are mathematically still 10 players battling for the final 2 spots so they will be fighting tooth and nail to win the title here in Moscow.

Well done to Srebotnik who claims her 2nd title of the season over a player who had been in phenomenal form coming into the final. Srebotnik did well in taking out the #2, #7 and #8 seeds, as well as the US Open champion :bigclap: - Kirilenko won't be too disappointed with her loss here as she still manages to sneak the #8 spot in the Race and so she will play in the YEC next week! :)

First loss to clijsters I think :o ill take a solid QF though! YEC is what matters to dani :eek:
