A Kournikova/Widjaja final would be fitting

It would give Anna a chance to redeem herself from the professional low of the U.S. Open...fight off those personal demons.

There is a long way to go before that happens, though!

Even for those who dislike Anna, don't you think it would be good for tennis if she finally won a singles title? People complain about her getting so much attention despite not having a title...and many of these same people always root for her to lose :confused:

Anna is playing a lot better than she did at the US open, and so is Angie. In fact Angie is the one who has beaten the tougher opponent here, Clarisa, a top-40 player.
That final would indeed be interesting, Jason. But I still would prefer to see Ai in the final and also to take the title! I was hoping for Clarisa vs. Ai, but Angie vs. Ai would suit me just fine, too. :)

Ai winning in singles and doubles would make my day. Go Ai! Ai! Ai!

I want Anna to win mostly so that the media can't keep saying that she has never one a title. I am SICK TO TEARS of that nonsense. Angie I have liked since I found out who she was at Bali last year.
