An-Sophie did just beat the 2006 World Champion under 14... and who's 17 today, the Canadian Dabrowski, with 3-6 6-3 and 6-3. So, she'll start in the Main Draw on Monday. Hopefully she'll have a decent draw, so she can stay long in the Wimbledon GS. BRAVO AN-SOPHIE!!!

Some interesting matches, think the brits have got bad draws overall. Any chance of an upset? :(

TBH though i think Laura has a decent section compared to the strength of the draw. Whether she can take advantage of it is another thing.

Hi guyz,
how you doing? Hope everything is fine.

I purchased "wimbledon live" featuring all the action live from 6 courts (Centre Court,Court 1,Court 2,Court 3,Court4, Court 18) every day of the tournament offered by Perform Group.
I'm really disappointed by Perform Group for making such a bad service. It's a pity a subscriber can't be able to download matches, like I did last year with MediaZone. This is tragic news, coz I work during the vast majority of live streaming coverage hours.
Mediazone allowed me to download matches then watch them at my convenience.

Now I cannot be able to watch any junior match, coz television coverage won't broadcast junior tournament.

Thanks, Perform Group!!!

Very well done by An-Sophie Congrat. BelgianJunior...She is improving all the time

Kiki did it, but not an impressive score, so we will see how she will continue in this event...It has to stop sometime, that's juniortennis.

Maybe it will be an dutch winner this year?

Pity Genie couldnt pull that one out... :( At least Laura got through, needs to cut down the errors and realise you dont have to hit a winner off each service return! Damn she can be frustrating to watch at times

Generally I think several of the favourites lose early in juniors, Rogowska has had several poor junior results recently, really feel she should just concentrate on seniors now, juniors isnt really doing her any good. Thats the great thing about juniors, constant turmoil!

That's a bad draw for Bouchard; she could have easily won a few rounds with a kinder draw. I still expect Mladenovic to win this, and perhaps it's good that she was tested in the 1st round.

Quirine Lemoine def. Laura Robson (GBR, 2) def. 2-6 6-4 8-6

Quirine was 5-3 up in the 3rd set and 0-40 on Laura’s serve, but she couldn’t make any of the 3 MP. Serving for the match at 5-4, Quirine had opened up the court at 30-30 for a 4th MP, but hit in the net. Laura broke right back for 5-5. The crowd was then really getting behind Laura.

6 games all Laura serving, Quirine was 0-40 up and broke for a 7-6 lead. She played some really good points that game. Quirine then could hold her nerves and win the match on her 5th MP.

Some really nice points, especially at the end. Lots of UE and DF as well during the match.

Great that Quirine came back after losing those MP. She actually started playing better and really went for her shots.

Great match though for Laura, showing some real fighting spirit. She had back problems, but really stayed positive and went for it. Great attitude! :worship:

6 games all Laura serving, Quirine was 0-40 up and broke for a 7-6 lead. She played some really good points that game. Quirine then could hold her nerves and win the match on her 5th MP.

Some really nice points, especially at the end. Lots of UE and DF as well during the match.

Great that Quirine came back after losing those MP. She actually started playing better and really went for her shots.

Great match though for Laura, showing some real fighting spirit. She had back problems, but really stayed positive and went for it. Great attitude! :worship:

Yeah You're right. I had never watched Quirine playing until today. What do you think is her strongest shot? Actually I didn't like her BH as well her movement is not great. Good serve, good FH and most of all she's good in the head.

Well it was the 1st time I saw her play as well. ;)
I knew she did lose in a 3rd set TB to Arantxa Rus in December at the Dutch Masters, which was quite a good result. She does have some good ground strokes, but hits a lot of UE as well. Her 1st serve was pretty effective, winning almost 80%, but there were also like 10 DF or something. But it is hard to tell because Laura was not a 100% obviously.

I was suprised how she fought in the end, because I thought she would lose after missing those MP. So that was nice to see. But the way she lost her service game and with that the 2nd set was awful, hitting 3 DF :help:

She will be 18 in December, but hasn't played much senior events. Most of the Dutch girls finish school first and start playing the senior events a little bit later. It is always interesting to see how the juniors will do in the senior events.

Have to give credit to Lertcheewakarn, hit the ball so flat today and Mladenovic is obviously having trouble returning those shots, and amazing defense from her.

Low % of 1st serve in. Amazing defense from Lertcheewakarn, and she hits so flat throughout the match and for a tall girl like Mladenovic it's gonna be hard for her to deal with those low balls. Mladenovic should really try a few things tho, the last game of the match is just:help::tape:, overpowering her opponent just doesn't work well for her today.
