Larcher de Brito has some excellent groundies, but it does not excuse the fact that she is the most obnoxious player I have ever seen, having orgasms every time Aravane makes an UE. You could wrap up Ana's adjes, Maria's and Serena's C'mons, Venus' shrieks and multiply them by 100 and still not come close to how offensive this girl is. SHe is talented, for sure, but someone needs to sit her down and give her a good talking to.

Aravane should kill her with kindness. (Emphasis on kill, please.)

Handshake with Michelle being a brat and running away.

I hope Rezai wins and then declines to shake the shrieker's hand. If Rezai loses and she doesn't shake hands it would just look like sour grapes. But declining to shake hands after a win would be a much stronger statement and one I hope Rezai gets to make.

That's an appropriate word. I have no doubt she will be a top player one day, but I also have no doubt that unless she matures, she will have no friends in the locker room. She should have been warned for the racquet banging a few times as well. She's a real baby.

Or perhaps Rezai has been forced to get used to it since the umpire is doing nothing?

In The Zone

This is a mix of Rodionova, Poutchek, Sharapova, and Serena. Who knew it would be so bad? :p

If I were Rezai and someone was screaming at the top of their lungs every time I missed a ball, I would shake her hand and let her know she has lots of growing up to do.

As for the umpire, he has not warned MLDB for racquet abuse or said anything constructive about the grunting. He needs fired, immediately.

it is?

i can't tell. she's losing pretty convincingly.

For being 16, her first GS MD, and now in the 3r. The winners she is hitting are amazing. She strikes the ball so powerfully with a lot of conviction. Her errors will decrease with time and her serve will get better. MLDB is going to be an elite player in a few years time.

I'm still not condoning her attitude by any means though. It is ridiculous.

I hate to say it but her game is quite impressive. She does hit hard and for someone who hits that hard she makes few errors. She gets good angles on her shots on occasion too. She also moves well, although perhaps less so on clay, and she is very strong mentally. Very very strong. Yeah she isn't subtle and lacks variety big time but with that determination I wouldn't be surprised to see her add more to her game as she gets older.

All that said, personally I just wish she would go away. Forever.

A thread has been closed already during the Aravane/Michelle match therefore this one will be as well.

The next time I have to intervene because people don't seem to understand the rule 'no live matches discussions in GM', it will be time for infractions and/or suspensions (no suspension for less than a month, so your pick).
