From 4:5 at Rogowska's serve, Kateryna won 9 consecutive points to lead 6:5 15:0...:eek:

After the break for serving for the match Olivia only won two more points.

Olivia was so close!
She served for the match at 5-4 in the decider and then totally lost the plot :sad:
Great effort, though, from the 17 y.o wildcard :hug:

It looks like Olivia put a great effort. I have not seen her play yet, but I will make an effort to do so as soon as i can. :hug:

I'm really proud of Olivia, I can imagine that she ran out of gas after breaking that last time as she isn't used to playing consuming matches against quality player like Kateryna. Although I'm dissapointed she didn't serve it out, it is more then I expected and it is the start of a fantastic career for Olivia :yeah:

It is by no means ''shattering''
She just took another quality player to the brink!

Everything from this week has been a huge positive for Olivia and the future of Australian tennis...

of course it's shattering, she served for the bloody match. Heartbreaking to have such a close loss like this.

Of course, only positives can be taken out this week but at the moment of course it will be shattering for her, i don't know how can anybody think differently at the moment, doesn't matter who you you are, you are playing and where you are, it's still just as heartbreaking.

This will be looked back at though as a great week and a stepping stone for bigger things but just after a match your not going to think like the always positive thoughts that you seem to post

So happy for Katya! She has a good serve and a good backhand, so it's really surprising that she's not winning as much as she should!

But this year, injuries aside, has been quite good for her! Reached her first 3rd round of a slam at the Australian Open and now doing the same at the French! Let's make the 4th round girl!

Gutted for Olivia though!

For someone ranked in the 200s to even make it to Round 2 of a slam is amazing, so I dare say Rogowska will be leaving pleased.
