With Australia's Rogowska getting to the 2nd round, it made me wonder how many former recipients of the slam country reciprocal wildcards('rising stars') ever made anything of a career....

Bartoli was given one for the AO in 2002 (lost r1). She was ranked 345 then and made it to a career high of 9....
Anyone else?

Pin got one ... she has neither soared to great heights nor vanished without trace.

Golovin was given one for 2004 AO and got to the 4th round there and made it to the Top 20.
Alicia Molik got to No.8.

Razzano got one in 2000. She reached a peak of 24 (so far).

Tati. :sobbing:

Surely she must have had the best reciprocal WC run? It kickstarted her career for sure, that year she finished in the top 30 with 2 GS 4Rs and a 3R where she lost to Rena.

This is something interesting to look into. Results may suggest that reciprocal WCs help no one?

What year did this arrangement start anyhow?
