Got to be Wimbledon...the history, prestige, the traditions, the grass, the matches you can get, the speed of the game on it (well when the grass was quick :( ), the fact that the BBC has extensive coverage & aside from John Inverdale it's usually high quality coverage, the timing is great for me. Definitely my favourite, as nice as the other Slams are, they don't come close to Wimbledon in my view.

1. Australian Open - I love watching the Aussie every year because the weather is always nice and the tournament is always so unpredictable. The mens side almost always has a surprise semi-finalist or finalist (Tsonga 2008). Also, it's the site of some of my favorite Sharapova matches (vs Williams 2005, vs Pin 2007, vs Clijsters 2007, vs Henin 2008).

2. United States Open - The only slam out of the four that kinda fits with my time schedule. I prefer hardcourt tennis over grass or clay, and this makes the USO and OZ my favorite slams. It's the site of some of my favorite tennis moments (Agassi retirement, Clijsters 2005, Sharapova 2006, Federer's five 2008).

3. Wimbledon - While I respect Wimbledon's history and tradition, I'm not particularly fond of this slam. I don't like the constant rain delays (thank god for the new centre roof), and I can't say I'm pleased with the bad memories this slam has brought me (Federer 2008, Sharapova 2008).

4. Roland Garros - I have nothing against this slam expect that it's played on clay, the worst surface of my favorite player. Moreover, it has prevented some of my favorite players in history (Sampras, Edberg, Conners) from completing a career GS. Hopefully, Sharapova can steal a championship this year, as unlikely as it might seem.

US Open.
Because I live in Queens, New York and you got to have some hometown pride.

I always find this tough, because I like them all, like others in this thread have said, for different reasons.
US Open - Great atmosphere, night matches, and the best timing to watch it for me.
Wimbledon - Grass:hearts:, the history and tradition, just a great event.
Australian Open - Usually has the best weather of all the slams, it's on at good times for me except the night matches (3:30am:help::lol:)
Roland Garros - I like the clay and the stadiums, but it is just at the worst time for me.

Wimbledon (far and away the best--and even better in person)

US Open (closest to where i live)
AO (seems like fun, but the hours are killer)
RG (matches are waaay too long--but it is a slam, so it rates)

May 26th, 2009, 11:58 PM
1. U.S. Open (fashion, late night games, HUGE STADIUM, big and energetic crowd, more excitement)
2. Wimbledon (classic, classy and love the fast grass)
3. French Open (a lot of under-dogs shine, like the orange clay court, the crowd can be a monkeys ass though)
4. Australian (first slam of the year, get way too hot, doesnt really feel like a grand slam sometimes and the court is too bright now)

1. Australian.
Love the atmosphere, love how it fits into my nightcrawler personality. Love it love it love it.

2. US.
Go every year. The night session, the crowd, the players trying to win that last slam. Awesome. :yeah:

3. Wimbledon.
Love grass tennis. It would be #2 if not for the US being 15 minutes away.

4. French Open.
My favorite player is Venus Williams. Enough said.

Wimbledon. Love grass court tennis, the tradition, the all white, and coverage.
U.S. Open. It is the most exciting tournament, atmosphere is super, great matches, electric!
Australian Open. Prefer hard court to clay tennis, but the place in the calendar is
RG. Like clay court tennis, but. . .
