Nope. Her draw is pretty good. She could definitely go very far:)

If she takes out Petrova, there is no player on paper that could stop her until about the QF stage at least.

yup, it's realistic - she can easily reach semifinal with her draw, and then she is gonna be full of confidence, so you never know:devil:

Maria is one of those 5 players who are a threat to in every tournament they play regardless of their form. Her draw is really good, she has a great chance to make it to the QFs atlast.

Hell no! You're insane

I'd say you are insane... or at least not rational. You have no basis to make that statement. She may go far but there is no information that would tell us that this is actually going to happen. All you can do is wish her the best and the second best. The best for Maria is successful recovery and going far or even winning here is the second best ;)

She had a mp against Dinara last year. And was serving 76 *53 30-0.
She was also up in the 2nd tiebreak *52 at 76 66
So she was very close to beating Dinara.
If she gets past Nadia and is feeling more confident, it won't be a huge shock. This field is filled with nonslam winners, and no one sticks out in this draw

Win, no. QF, maybe. People need to calm down though tbh.

why not?
WTA is so weak righ now Maria if she can play pressure free tennis she could find her way to a RG title.

She is a darkhorse, but her main worry is not any opponent--it's her ability to recover from match fatigue on her shoulder. That will be critical. So long as she does not have to play consecutive days, she has a very good chance to play her way into form. If the rain causes a backup where she has to go out on consecutive days, all bets are off, because from firsthand experience I know that it is very difficult to put a recovering shoulder through its paces two days in a row. That's why they don't schedule therapy every day.

Your crazy :)

I'd eat my arms if she won the title this year.

Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez might pull off an upset or two, but she's not going to win the title.
