There is a buzz in media today about the initiative of papa Radwanski to build tennis courts in Cracow. My logic tells me that this is a very good initiative, but according to many Polish posters (on this and other forums), this is something equal to committing a crime in this country.
I am not a fan of some of Radwanski's statements and their diva attitude, but I think building tennis courts is something that Poland needs. People are complaining that Poland is such a big country but has less tennis stars than Slovakia or Serbia, but it looks like they try to kill any good initiative that would help to change this situation.
Can anybody explain me why so many Poles is attracted to "shooting own foot" ideology???

The idea of building courts in Krakow by Radwanski was there for a long time. This is Polish greatest city, but generally sucks in sports infrastructure. So every such initiative is good. I've never heard anyone criticizing it. If yes, they must be from Warsaw.
