well she was given a WC in 2007 (as a promising junior) and almost took a set from Petrova, so I guess they wanted to give her another chance

besides they didn't have much time to decide as this WC was originally reserved for Domachowska who eventually entered MD by rank

Yeah, I'm sorry for Kasia, but honestly who expected anything else? I've seen her playing twice, and it's same shit- no positioning, no timing, no moving + flat, ok serve. Kasia is not improving at all and I think she is definitely not a material for a top 100 player. Hope this was her last WC for such a big tourney.
