My comments:

Melanie OUDIN: Another good week for Melanie who was already quoted in that thread. Once again, this week, she confirms her good form as she captured Raleigh $50K Challenger. As 2nd seed, she was one of the favourite and protected her status taking the best over 7th seed/n224 veteran compatriot Lee Waters.

Carmen KLASCHKA: At 22 y.o, Carmen is reaching a step in her career as breaking the Top 200. Last week, she reached the SF at Raleigh $50K falling to come-backer and former Top 35 veteran n224 Lee Waters.

FASTER MOVEMENTS IN THE TOP 10, 20, 50, 100, 150 and 200:

Top 10:
Elena DEMENTIEVA n4 (+1) and Caroline WOZNIACKI n10 (+1)
2 different players on the spotlight: In one hand, a confirmed 27 y.o Top players for years, Elena who finished 5 years in the Top 10 and in the other hand, a brand new Top 10 at 18 y.o, Caroline.
Elena: Elena is up at n4 overtaking Jankovic. Last week Elena reached the 3rd rd at Madrid WTA event but surprisingly lost to former n1 n21 Mauresmo. It was the 17th time that the 2 stars were facing each other (with a 10/6 ratio for Mauresmo) but Elena was favourite due to her current ranking and the statistics on clay were better for Elena. However, Mauresmo is not a common Top 20, she’s a former great champion who can still show terrific tennis from time to time.
Caroline: At 18 y.o, Caroline is on the way to become a great star. She’s reaching another level as Top 10 elite. Last week, she made it to the Final at Madrid WTA event falling to Top seed/n1 and eventual bog favourite for RG09 Safina. Caroline reminds Hingis in her game style. Mauresmo was saying in her press conference after losing to her that she has no strong weapon but she has a great talent to read the game of her opponents, and she knows how to play each point smartly.

TOP 20:
Amelie MAURESMO n16 (+5):
Big rise for Amelie this week, who is up 5 spots The last time she had such a high ranking was before the Year Ending Championship in 2007! This ranking will also allow her a Top 16 seed in RG 09 which means she won’t have to face a Top player in the 3rd rd.
Last week Amelie reached the SF at Madrid WTA event ousting 15th seed/n16 Zheng and 3rd seed/n5 Dementieva before losing to rising star 9th seed/n11 Wozniacki. After missing a set point in the 1rst set and losing it 7/6, Amelie didn’t find the energy to come back. However, this situation is interesting for Amelie as she has no pressure for RG09 but also good confidence due to that result in Madrid.

TOP 50:
Agnes SZAVAY n30 (+8):
Everybody was wondering when this big talent, who reached a career high (n13) at 19 y.o in 1988, will stop slumping. She seems to be on the way back since February. Last week, she reached the QF at Madrid after “scalping” 2 seeds (12 seed/n14 Pennetta and 7th seed/n9 Azarenka) before losing to n21 Mauresmo.

TOP 100:
Varvara LEPCHENKO n94 (+19):
The last year naturalized American citizen born in Uzbekistan is back to the Top 100. Varvara reached her ever best ranking at n84 more than 2 years ago. She’s back to the Top 100 after a nice run at Madrid till the 2nd rd as a qualifier. In the qualies, she ousted 8th seed/n73 Paszek and 13th seed/n75 Kudryavtseva. She kept playing with confidence in the MD beating n51 Rybarikova before falling to 9th seed/n11 and eventual runner up Wozniacki.

TOP 150:
Melanie OUDIN n123 (+15): see above.

TOP 200:
Lindsay LEE WATERS n190 (+33):
At nearly 32 y.o, Lindsay is back on track. She’s up 33 spots and once again in the Top 200. Last week, she reached the Final at Raleigh $50K, ousting 4th seed/n211 Carmen Klaschka en route before losing to 2nd seed/n138 Oudin.

THAT’S ALL GUYS! HOPE YOU’LL ENJOY READING MY THREAD AND WAITING FOR YOUR COMMENTS!

You're right! I'm a little bit confused...:worship:...she'll only turn 32 in a month...but big respect for that mum who's still playing really strong tennis!

Also a missprint concerning Varvara who's career high was n84 and not 24 !
