Wow. If Caro also withdraws, does that mean Jie becomes top seed and Wozniak second seed? :help:

You could have added the reason: her injury sustained in Madrid has not healed.

Didn't hear about her injury, what did she hurt while in Madrid?

Good for her. Wish Caroline would do the same, but apparently she sees withdrawal as a sign of weakness and refuses to withdraw from anything :(

And she has a small back injury that needs to be gone for French Open...

I think when MD starts to be played, seeds don't change anymore and LL take the spot.

Agnieszka Radwanska puls out
May 17th 2009 | 14:01

Unfortunatelly, Agnieszka Radwanska will not take part in this year's edition of the Warsaw Open. Her back injury - a low back sprain - sustained at the beginning of the week in Madrid proved serious enough to keep her from competing in Poland.

Radwanska's withdrawal caused a shift in the main draw. Jie Zheng, seeded third will now take Agnieszka's place and play Olga Govortsova in the first round. Sara Errani (nr 5) will replace the Chinese player's vacant position, and her spot will in turn go to Tsvetana Pironkova (nr 9).

Radwanska's injury will allow for a lucky loser to enter the main draw.

It has now been revealed that Aga withdrew because of money issues (she wasn't granted for entrance) and her friend didn't get a free accreditation :o

As AR is the only high-ranked Polish player, this must have been a huge blow to local spectators, and to the organisers.

Thank god the WCs went to Hantuchova and Sharapova.
