That's so sad. 2 Golden Girls are now dead. It's really the end of an era. The show is still hysterical on Lifetime, even 20 years after it aired.

When I was younger and had to call someone on the phone in the AM, and my voice was all deep as hell, I would say to whoever I called, "Hi. This is Bea Arthur calling for Justin....." Kinda dumb, but just teenage dumbness.

She was a classy broad. We had a good chemistry. I'd joke about her deep voice, she'd hit back with a joke about my thin lips or my flat chest or my chubby ankles or my crows feet or my ugly daughter....you get the picture.

Omg, I was just watching the GG yesterday afternoon. Bea was my favorite. U know, I'm actually crying right now. It feels like my favorite hilarious Auntie just past away. I grew up with Bea. From the AITF to GG. I loved her wit and sarcastic humour. She was one of the funniest people in the world. I am personally truely going to miss her.
I always held out hope that some sort of GG sitcom would play again. This is just sad. My deceased Grandma used to laugh out loud to this show. GG reminds me a lot of her.

Nicely said Dawn...I felt the same way, I used to joke all the time that I wished Bea was my other grandma lol, so I was very sad when I read the news yesterday, almost felt personal in a strange way...Golden Girls is my fave sitcom of all-time and she was my favourite character. Even in the last few years doing guest appearances on shows like Malcolm in the Middle, she hadn't lost her edge and wit. Bea will be truly missed, certainly a one of a kind woman. :sad:
