What would it be?

I personally find this extremely tough to answer. Kudos to reporter that asked this from one of our sport stars. Imo pretty original question. At least in interview.

I make this easier from the start. No need to answer with just one. List 20+ if you want. I try to name just one.

For me it is - 1952 Helsinki Olympics Opening Ceremony :)

As a tennis fan, to see one of the early Wimbledon finals would be interesting, maybe the very first one in 1877. Also to see Suzanne Lenglen play, maybe her match agains Helen Wills.

I like cricket too, so to see an innings by WG Grace or Don Bradman would be cool. Another one that springs to mind is Jesse Owens in the Berlin Olympics.

This is fun. I'll have to think about it and come up with a list.

Comaneci's perfect 10 is probably up there.

Definitely Comaneci's perfect 10.
Also the gymnastics competition in Athens. I really enjoyed it, would have been great to witness it live.

The Olympics in Berlin 1936. It's almost perverse, but I'd be curious to see the atmosphere around the whole thing.

Women's handball final Denmark vs South Korea at the 1996 Olympics.

Men's volleyball final in Sydney, Yugoslavia vs Russia.

The 1995 Wimbledon final, Steffi vs Arantxa.

The US Open 2003 semi, Justine vs Jennifer.

Thought of another one..

The year Pat Rafter played Goran in the final of Wimbledon. Even though this match is one of two tennis matches that ever made me cry, I still would have loved to have been there for how special the atmosphere was that day.

- The 2007 USO semi. The second one, of course.

I'm so mad I missed it, because unlike most examples in this thread, I could've actually been there. And I was there in the semis the year before, and they were meh at best.

- The 1999 RG final. For me that was the final battle and the end of it all between good and evil. And to end the way it did, it would've been amazing to witness it live. (and booed at Hingis, of course).

-Maria Butyrskaya's magical sp in the 2000 world. I would've also watched the 1999 one too.

- England v Germany at the semis of Euro 96.

Funny about people wanting to see Comaneci's perfect 10 cos pretty much every gymnast in the world these days is doing more difficult stuff....

anyway....

US Open 1970 to see the Grand Slams being achieved
Olympic Games 1936
Olympic Games 1948
Olympic Games 1956
Empire (Commonwealth Games) 1938

That'll do..

Oh that's a great pick. That match had me in tears too, but I'm guessing for the opposite reason than you even if I loved Pat and I'm sad he never won Wimbledon.

Justine winning Olympic GOLD. I know that the drama was in her semifinal match and I only got to see that recently thanks to youtube, but I cant find the final match on youtube.

I also desperately want to watch Agassi win the French Open.

Most of everything esle that I want to watch I have already seen on youtube (not LIVE I know, but it'll make do).
