Anne-Lena Groenefeld got as high as # 14 in the rankings. Can Sabine Lisicki do the same or climb even higher than that? :bounce:

Who will be more successful in 2009? Groenefeld or Lisicki?

Lisicki because of better movement

I'm no expert but I think Groenefeld's forehand is a mess. Overall her game is rather "artificial" and always in danger to break down. Haven't seen much of Lisicki though.

Watching Lisicki in the final against Wozniacki, I got to vote for her!

As I said it before: She reminds me of Clijsters when her game is on. Not that consistent though and she's not moving that well. But very powerful!!!

Lisicki. No doubt.

If Lisicki keeps her Charleston level for more tourneys, she can reach the top10, no doubt.

If you are talking about gravitational potential, then Groenefeld, no doubt. ;)

Lisicki. Groenefeld's already done the best she can.

Lisicki because she is much more complete, she doesn't have big weaknesses like ALG.

ALG is the better net player, but that is the only advantage I see, when both play their best tennis...especially at the moment, as ALG is still way too fat :o

Why the question of potential? Groenefeld has already peaked and we already know what she can do. & not to mention ALG is also 5 years Lisicki's senior. So if the question is who will have the better "peak" or better career I believe Lisicki will. :)

I still think that Grönefeld was kind of a bigger talent then Lisicki. But I'm afraid to announce that the Grönefeld story ended tragically in 2003 after she won RG Juniors.

yeah, but when it is about success, her story ended when she lost to Kuznetsova in Eastbourne, after wasting 2 MP´s...that was the beginning of the end.

Lisicki could be a constant Top20 player I think. It will be interesting to see her form over the next few months but she has done so well this week with big wins over Venus, Elena, Caroline and Marion - big things could come her way.

That's 4 yrs 3 months her senior to be more precise. Only time will tell to see who has the better career.
