Can't wait to watch this. I think Caro will dismantle Sabine, but if everything clicks for Sabine it will be really good match to watch.

Since Venus lost, this was the final I wanted so I'm thrilled. I wish both of them could win  so I'll be happy either way

I think Caro will take it in 2 tough sets, but I won't be surprised if Sabine wins her 1st title in 3 sets :D

On paper I think it would be a Caro in 2 sets, but Sabine is playing great, so I'd say Caro in 3, I wish I could watch it

Nevertheless, fantastic week and fantastic tennis from Sabine :yeah:

Intriguing match-up. Obviously I'm pulling for Caro, but I haven't been paying that much attention to Sabine so I'm not sure what kind of player she is.

Great tournament for Sabine, but I guess she is not yet ready for a big title, and is a bit too nervous..so I would say Caroline, but well see :)

Sabine is a player like Safarova. On her day, it's winners all over the show against certain types of players, but when she's off, she's off.

I just hope she doesn't self-destruct. She has a much better first serve than Lena, and Wozniacki's serve is very breakable. She has the ability to win this easily.

Ordinarily, I'd say Caro. I'll be rooting for Caro. But honestly, how much gas is left in the tank after that match today?

(I'd feel the same way if Lena had pulled through and won). Two hot players on a roll, but one of them has fresh legs and a strong serve.

I hope I'm wrong because I like Syrup girl. I don't know much about Sabine, so it'll be interesting to see her.

yea, I thought the same thing. But then again, her SF against Vesnina at PVB was almost as long as then she played a 1.5 hour double match right after and still won the final the following day. But of course she might be more tired at this point in her tournament run...

Caro in 2. Caroline will get everything back and force Lisicki to hit amazing winners and end points quick, something I'm not so sure Sabine is capable of doing just yet..

Caro for her 5th title! :rocker2:

I pretty much agree with miffedmax. Tiredness is very likely to be a factor. But not the only factor. One big difference between this match and Caro's final last week in which she also came through an epic semi final is that her opponent in the final is a much tougher opposition than Wozniak was ever going to be. Lisicki is playing some very strong tennis this week. Additionally as kman points out Caro is now on a two week run on winning. I wouldn't be surprised to see it catch up on her.

I wish Sabine could hold her nerves together, but I guess it'll be a revision of the AO encounter where she had the winning way under her belt and though lost it. Sabs will have all chances again to win it but somewhere at this stage she'll lose her concentration and her confidence.

I guess Caro will win it in 3 again, but I really hope that Sabine finds a way out of this trap in a third set...

go for the title, Sabs ! :yeah:

Both girls play unbelievable tennis in Charleston. For Sabi, that's her best tournament so far,but I guess that great Caro will win it in three.

The girls ,when they were kids, played in one club together in Wrocław, Poland and even gained the team championship of Lower Silesia in the category <12 y.o. so they must have known each other for a long time. :) I hope for a good quality of game and I'm rooting for Sabine cause I've seen her play yesterday on CCTV and her level of play was above my expectations. :) Caroline is now established so let's have another 'Pole' at the top. :)

Sabine in 3. :)

Why did everyone leave Poland ?

They could have been the next Russia :speakles:

-> Lisicki's parents emigrated when The State of War was initiated in fear of repressions
-> Wozniacki's parents emigrated when socialism collapsed to gain bigger money on the West (Radwanskas did the same but they came back)

I would leave it too if I were them...:tape: Tennis is an expensive sport and here in Poland there's no conditions for tennis. There's very few hardcourts here. Radwanskas decided to live here as they had a good coach and they didn't need to stay in Germany. :worship:

-> Lisicki's parents emigrated when The State of War was initiated in fear of repressions.

Yes, and her father also said in the morgenpost article that as an academician in history he couldn't do good work in his field due to censorship.

-> Wozniacki's parents emigrated when socialism collapsed to gain bigger money on the West. (Radwanskas did the same but they came back).

Yes and her father left initially when as a professional football (soccer) player he was traded to Denmark.
