You got ASV's records kinda wrong, she reached 22 slams semifinals, not 21. You missed 1993 French Open ;)

Also in 1997 she reached the SF at wimbledon, not the french :p Here's how it should look like :)

Is that the new style of dissing? By adding GREAT in capital letters?
It's not really shocking. Look at these

Seles - 1 wimbledon sf
hingis - 1 wimbledon sf
Aranxta - 2 wimbledon sf

Big deal.

I thought about finals for a second. ok 2. Still 'terrible' for such a GREAT champion. She is not a GREAT champion though. 5-7 record in major finals is not that 'GREAT'. Take Seles. She is a GREAT champion but only 1 wimbledon semifinal. Who cares?

It took you two posts to show your true colors. Congratulations.
I never said they were good. I'm trying to tell you it's a meaningless stat. Did Serena not win the french open? She did. That's all that matters. Nobody cares if someone else made 100 semifinals without a title.

First, this post is about semifinals reached, you might have not read it well  Want to talk about titles won? Go and create a thread about it...that's actually the reason I say they are GREAT even if you think that is a new way of dissing...

Second, if I still want to argue your point...did Venus win it?

And yeah, there are are Williams fans, as any other player's fans who are totally fine but then there are these Williams talifans who would say everything about their players is sooo good and feel attacked all the time that I find extremely annoying. No player is perfect and neither the Williamses even if it seems you cannot accept it

Actually Sabatini made 18, the list is leaving her first one at Rg 1985 out of the picture. And yes  at the ones who say Pierce goat and so on and her numbers in this category are not nearly comparable, even to a "one slam wonder" like Sabatini.

This all pales into insignificance when you look at Chris Evert who reached 52 semi finals from 56 slams played, only failing in 2 QF and 2 3R later in her career. Her first 34 slams were all semi finals at least and she failed in just 1 of her first 49 which was when she was sick at Wimbledon and lost to Kathy Jordan in the 3rd round in 1983

Arantxa :worship: This category truly shows how underrated she is. Hard to be "lucky" or a "benefitter" in 22 slams, isn't it?

Also poor Gaby...she was consistent, but just couldn't get over the hurdle (very often anyways).

I'm surprised that Serena only has 15 slam semis...but I guess that goes to show, when she gets near the end of a slam she's the woman to beat.
