Nothing would please me more than to know that this lying, cheating, hypocritical, righteous, holier-than-thou asswipe has lost half of his massive fortune.

What would the Pope say if he could see you know you hateful bigot??????

What did Mel Gibson ever do to you?

Well known and very vocal prominent homophobe.

I feel the same about him as an average black person would feel towards a white supremist who argues the black person is an inferior being.

under California law, his wife probably will get half, seeing as there was no prenup when they married back in the 80's

It's never good to kick someone when they are down......BUT (lol) Mel is a lunatic (bordering into mad) son of a gun. :o Under California law she's bound to get 1/2 of what he's got!

(a) She probably will.
(b) They have been married 20+ years, what makes you think she's not equally homophobic, bigot, Jew-hater, etc.?
(c) It won't matter, is your life any different being worth $900 million versus $450 million?

The biggest winners in any high profile divorce are the lawyers. So if they duke it out in court and squander their fortune on lawyer fee's then that will warm my heart just as much.

Might have been married 20 years but the marriage obviously wasnt strong!

what makes you think that they didn't have any issues?believe me I'm not for him being with someone else while technically being married still but they've been separated for 3 years now and what makes you think that she;too is not seeing someone on the side?

I didn't know he was an homophobe:mad::eek:

I feel sorry for the kids.
I have met his son and he doesn't seem homophobic. Mel Gibson being homophobic is very well known though.

I dont care that Mel Gibson cheated on his wife. Im just enjoying the fact that this arsehole who believes I belong in hell for the way I was born is most likely going through a pretty stressful, awful experience.... My evil side takes pleasure in that knowledge.

...this is probably the only thing stopping me from fully enjoying this. I believe the son is about 10 yrs old, right? I can only imagine how hopeless he must feel. Mel is a nutcase though

Czechfan I don't think I've followed your post that much before, but I gotta say I find you refreshingly genuine.

I understand... but you are accusing him in what you are doing well at this thread - being phobic and judgmental.

I only replied because I belive you are better than that

This is the problem with marrying a man that is famous and good looking - women half your age will be throwing themselves at him even after your looks are gone.

I'm surprised they lasted 28 years and I feel sorry for her.

I hope she gets more than half of his fortune !

I've seen posters do worse things:shrug: I would be doing the same thing if Bill O'Rielly was going down. :)

Not that gay people can tie the knot in California... but I would imagine it's hard to resist the fantasy of being courted by a STAR :o I mean if James Franco ever came to me... I would certainly say YES!

Just stay away from the politics thread...

As long as you are not Republican

kart, it is not a problem if you're walking away with a couple hundred million dollars. trust me. she'll get over it. i would fly away to some spa in italy and contemplate those dumb girls slobbering all over him while some pretty girl or boy is massaging my heartache away.:hearts:

there are women in the same situation and ain't walkin away with a damn thang.

plus, doesn't matter if the girls are throwing themselves at a man. men who are looking for some young stuff will get it, regardless of how little or how much money they have.

I know what you're saying but they do have seven children and they've been together 28 years.

No amount of money is going to fix the fact that they're splitting up their family (which, I assume was happy at some point for her to keep her having his children.)

Though I agree she will get over it, I do have some sympathy for her.

i was reading something that said his kids range in age from 10 to 27. i'll bet several of them are grown. so, it may not be quite as traumatic as you imagine - of course i wouldn't know though. plus, they may actually want their parents to divorce, especially if they see dad trippin with mom all the time.

i have to say that i don't feel sympathy. she's in a great position, imo.

if divorce is inevitable for half of couples, i'd rather wind up in her position than walk away with nothing for the same amount of time/effort put into a family.

:D

Maybe this is wrong info, but only one son is under the age of 18 and living with them, the 10 yr old of course. This is not to say the rest don't feel awful, but it could be worse :o

When she married Mel, she was HIS meal ticket. She was working and he was a struggling actor, far from being famous. She stuck with him for 28 yrs.

These facts point to the fact she did not marry for fame or money, and it was genuine and not gold digging.

She deserves every penny she can squeeze out of him.

I had no idea Mel was such a jackass! When did her cheat? And evidence of his homophobia?

I'm just trying to hold on to my little girl crush I used to have on him. I totally LOVED him (and Goldie Hawn) in Bird On A Wire!

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_%26_Lesbian_Alliance_Against_Defamation) (GLAAD) accused Gibson of homophobia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homophobia) after a December 1991 interview in the Spanish newspaper El País (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Pa%C3%ADs) in which he said that gays "take it up the ass... This is only for taking a shit."[76] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Gibson#cite_note-75) Gibson later defended his comments on Good Morning America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Morning_America), saying, "[Those remarks were a response] to a direct question. If someone wants my opinion, I'll give it. What, am I supposed to lie to them?"[77] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Gibson#cite_note-76) In his 1995 Playboy interview, he responded to GLAAD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_and_Lesbian_Alliance_Against_Defamation)'s protests over his comment with "I'll apologize when hell freezes over. They can fuck off".[71] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Gibson#cite_note-pb-70) Eventually, however, Gibson joined GLAAD in hosting 10 lesbian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lesbian) and gay filmmakers for an on-location seminar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seminar) on the set of the movie Conspiracy Theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_Theory_(film)) in January 1997.[78] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Gibson#cite_note-77) In 1999 when asked about the comments to El País (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Pa%C3%ADs), Gibson said, "I shouldn't have said it, but I was tickling a bit of vodka during that interview, and the quote came back to bite me on the ass."[72] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Gibson#cite_note-NutTeKoha-71)
