No, I've never heard Tony mention her.

I think it's because of the way the coaches are coaching. They teach a lot of ball bashing but not how to play.

Honestly, you will start to see a rise in 2015 and on. Venus came on the scene in 1997(a big splash). Many parents said, "hey I want my kid to play this game". These kids are now around 12 years old. in 2015 they will be 18. Now, Serena came on the scene in 1999. Venus and Serena both made a HUGE HUGE splash in 2000 and on. So, little girls from 1997-present will want the hunger to be the NEXT Venus and Serena. I expect the wave to hit around 2015 to continue an upward trend. V@S have longevity and each year new kids want to play the sport. 2015-2017 is when we'll see the rise. We see the trend with Anna K and Hingis. Martina imho helped to bring Russian dominance. Although, none of them have half the natural skills. Same with Anna.
We'll start seeing more Asian players kicking ass in the future. I also will expect to see many players coming from the Everett Academy and Justine's new academy here in the states. They teach CLAY COURT tennis and BALL CONSTRUCTION as well as how to play on hard court with power.
Oh, American tennis sucks ass cause of the lack of natural speed, strength and mental capacity in the sport.
