Uh oh. Is Maria's knee bothering her again?

So far there's nothing about this on Maria's website.

One shitty thing to another this year, hence a "I don't know" type of eh?

Why are you on my back? :p

no biggie, she's playing enough tournaments on clay over the next couple of months

more time for good training in Europe

Yep thats true. Better to prepare on the red stuff rather than wasting her time for one green clay tournament. So hopefully that was why and it isn't because of her knee. She has a pretty busy schedule so maybe she thought the week off would be good for her.

I hope you're right but it's disappointing that she can't play 2 weeks in a row because of her knee:help:

But yeah, she'll have more time to train on red clay anyway

Gah. Good chance to win a few matches and gain some confidence. I hope Maria knows what she's doing (that's if she didn't withdraw because of injury).

Really tough year for Maria so far.

But maybe she will feel better and more at home when she comes back to play on red clay.

Considering how well she did on this surface last year, this could very well be the turning point of 2009 for her. :)

Maria's site still have her playing Ponte Verdra Beach. With a new post being made today and the scoreboard added to the side  Strange, you'd think we'd find out why she isn't playing but her site seem to be out of the loop even more than us. Maybe she's just gonna play doubles?

Just a communication issue I guess. Hopefully we'll get an update from Maria soon.

She likes AC Milan

Not sure about Maria's favorite Russian club I would presume either CSKA or Spartak

I remember reading she likes Chelsea I think?

Maria used to really like classical music hence the Kirilenko's Orchestra I'm not sure what she likes now, maybe you could ask her a question on her website :D

I don't think Maria is that bothered about football. I think she said in one interview that she would watch if it was the World Cup, but not really otherwise. Her favourite player is Shevchenko - it was a quiz question. Maybe she likes Chelsea because of the Russian connection?

I think she mainly listens to pop music now.
