Ever had your computer struck by lightning?

I just experienced it last Friday... and the damage was bad...

Power supply fried.
Motherboard totally smoked.
Graphics card is gone.
Printer is damaged badly.Cost me quite a fortune to replace them... :rolleyes:

Worse still, my satellite dish is dead, all the TVs were down (although managed to restore two; the LCD is not repaired yet), and worst one of all... my poor Xbox :sad: (adapter is toast, and no graphics on TV - in process of repairing it. Take about 3-4 weeks... OUCH :tape:).

Anyone having a similar experience like mine?

yes, my dad's computer was struck, but the surge protector softened the blow.
