View Full Version : Let's Hope Agi Finally Plays WELLS: Indian Wells cheering thread

Mar 6th, 2009, 03:31 AM
Well, although it ended miserably, Ági did show us some encouraging signs in Mexico, so hopefully she can play even better in her next tournament: Indian Wells. With the large draw, I would say a fourth round showing is not too too much to ask for and a quarterfinal could be some sort of fantasy for us fans. Anyhow, let's all hope this tournament can be her best of the year :D:bounce::aparty:

Mar 6th, 2009, 03:41 AM
Oh and now that we are doing cheering threads for each new tournament, remember the rules, NEVER create a cheering thread for a new tournament until she is done with the present one, even if the draw has been released :D

Mar 6th, 2009, 03:52 AM
I was thinking "Agi's American Mission:Indian Wells and Miami Cheering Thread", but this could work out too:shrug:
Then we will get a thread for every tournament:D

Anyways, Go Agi!!!!!!:bounce:
I'd be satisfied with a 4r here from Agi:)

Mar 6th, 2009, 04:06 AM
Hmmm American mission would work too, but I sort of think since not every thing is swings it's good to be individual, plus, it's good to get a fresh start if this were to be a disappointment...

Mar 6th, 2009, 04:24 AM
^Yes. I agree:)

Anyways, this is:topic:

Mar 6th, 2009, 07:33 AM
True. So GO ÁGI :banana::aparty:

Mar 6th, 2009, 09:21 AM
Yeah Go Agnes!

so what will be agi rank and seed there?the williams sisters not playing and no sharapova there neither.
I hope she could beat a top10,jankovic or safina will be:devil::angel:

Mar 7th, 2009, 12:16 PM
Agnes will be seed 24,23 or similar.IF she reach only the 3rd round I would satisfied:p

Mar 9th, 2009, 10:53 PM
Agi is seeded 22nd:)
She gets a R128 bye, and she'll face either Gallovits or Kirilenko in R64, and either Cornet, Zakopalova, or a qualifier in R32;)
Go Agi!

Mar 10th, 2009, 01:40 AM
OK, let's go one match at a time (besides bye). I don't care who wins between Gallovits and Kirilenko, but definitely possible for Ági :D

COME ON AGNES :aparty:

Mar 10th, 2009, 01:47 AM
I'd rather have Gallovits win, since I like her better:p
But I think Kirilenko is in a slump. Then again, if she wins she will probably be out of her slump and she'll have confidence:scratch:. I'd rather have Agi face a strong Gallovits, than a strong Kirilenko:shrug:. No offense to Edina;)
So, as Agi fans we should root for Gallovits:shrug:

Mar 10th, 2009, 04:11 PM
The best of luck:D:yeah:,and I prefer Edina in R2 too:p
So,altough she´ll face Kirilenko,I think Agnes is better,Kirilenko is in a slump,so she should win and make 3rd,but who knows with her...
Finally I say that if she win a match we would like with her performance, because if she will meet Cornet in 3º,she will lost.
Come on and best of luck again:kiss:;let´s hope Agi finally plays well:rocker2:

Another choke:help::bigcry::sad::(:banghead:

Mar 12th, 2009, 02:58 AM
She is struggling with doubles A LOT

Mar 12th, 2009, 10:10 PM
She will play against Edina Gallovits in R2;)
They're both Hungarian, only difference is that Gallovits plays for Romania and is only of Hungarian descent.

Go Agi!

Mar 13th, 2009, 11:11 AM
not good double paire imo cause radwanska seems to strugle much these times:tape:

losing like that is not a good sign.

Allez I hope agnes will make gallovits respect her and win that match.

So now we can think about the next match, Cornet or Barrois. I think we should certainly hope for Kristina ;)

Mar 14th, 2009, 08:32 PM
Keep going!:bounce:
Go Barrois!

Mar 14th, 2009, 08:36 PM
Well done Agi . This set taken off to Venus totally changed her! Good to see her cruising against decent opponents!
She picked up her form at the perfect time right before the clay court season begins... Things are looking good now :D

Mar 14th, 2009, 08:37 PM
strong start:D:aparty:

Go Agi Go!
I'm guessing it'll be on Monday:shrug:

Mar 15th, 2009, 12:44 AM
Now I wish Agi shows no mercy to this poor Barrois :armed:
Great chance of scoring big points!

Mar 15th, 2009, 02:28 AM
Yeah Barrois won :aparty:

I have seen Barrois, and hopefully Ági will know to bring her to net, because she was not good there

Mar 15th, 2009, 09:57 PM
I am so excited! I must say, she has a nice draw, but we have to take it one match at a time :scared:

Let's hope this isn't like the King match, that was torture

Mar 16th, 2009, 02:25 AM
Hmmm she plays first tomorrow. Of course while I'm at school

Good luck Ági :hug::scared:

Mar 16th, 2009, 03:13 AM

Sally Todd
Mar 16th, 2009, 08:07 AM

Mar 17th, 2009, 02:39 AM
She plays tomorrow :(

Hopefully late so I'm not at school, but I doubt it....

SO nervous!!!!!!

I guess if she can get Vee to three, she can beat Aga, but who knows. Let's see then. SO NERVOUS!!! (but excited too...)

Mar 17th, 2009, 03:03 AM
Oh hurray! She is playing the third match after 1 PM local time on Court 3.

I'll be home and maybe MAYBE it will be televised, tenni$tv people get it, but probably won't be streamed

Mar 17th, 2009, 03:15 AM
Well, let's see:bounce:

Mar 17th, 2009, 09:10 AM
It feels so good to have our Agi back... God, it took such a long time but let's hope it is worth it! ;) Aga is not in her best form either so both girls will have their chances. Im so torn on this one! I only hope that whoever wins it goes to the semi-final. It's a big chance to score a huge amount of points.

Their H2H doesnt include a match on hardcourts, so we will be left a bit more in the dark before tonight... ;)
Good luck!

Mar 17th, 2009, 03:36 PM
GOOD LUCK!!:scared:
the match will be in Spain midnight,or maybe later, but I´ll be here:p,so I won´t sleep so much this night:scared::p

Mar 18th, 2009, 12:56 AM
She plays Agnieszka Radwanska now :bounce:

Mar 18th, 2009, 03:17 AM
And there it goes. She's out of her slump back on track blah blah blah blah blah but if she can't close out matches none of it matters :sobbing::tears:

Mar 18th, 2009, 03:22 AM

Mar 18th, 2009, 03:29 AM
It was a positive tournament.......

And a positive loss today :sobbing:

Mar 18th, 2009, 12:18 PM
Agi is definitely on the right track, she only needs more matches at this level ... and finally she will learn how to control her nerves to close a match again!
So she is back and not back yet. She has yet to score a big win again, surely it can happen on clay. Like you guys, I wish she plays somewhere before Stuttgart. On the other hand, she may want to take time to recover mentally, this long losing streak may have taken a lot of energy from her.

I also want to see her on TV badly! I haven't seen her since Paris '08 :help:

Mar 18th, 2009, 03:31 PM
it´s sure that she out of her slump?I´m not sure...

Mar 4th, 2010, 06:15 PM
Let's Hope again :wavey:

Mar 4th, 2010, 08:11 PM
atleast sounds much more promising than the last year, this year things are going much better:hearts:
