If they're not in NYC already, then there might be a cancellation for tonight.

In next 30 minutes will start ESPN Live Chat (http://*****.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=25271) with tennis superstar Ana:angel: Ivanovic.

If something unexpected happen perhaps she will say that.

ah, good. Yeah, it's still coming down in NY, but if she's here already, then not a big deal. but i wonder what the attendance will be.

I'm still mad at the WTA for leaving MSG!!! The championships were great there.

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Buzzmaster: (10:32 AM ET ) We've got Ana!

Liz, England: Hi Ana,can you tell me how you cope with jet lag, and how long does it take you to get over jet lag?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:34 AM ET ) Yeah, especially the first few times. But now, with all the traveling, we adjust quickly. The first day, I try to stay up all day, go shopping, but the most important thing is to not try to nap. If you nap, it's not going to be a short one.

Rickey (Chicago): How excited were you to be a part of the event tonight?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:34 AM ET ) I'm very excited. As soon as they approached, I was excited. Madison Square Garden is very well known. I'm very excited to play there.

Pam, Mexico City: Now that Venus Williams came to play in Acapulco, is there any possibility for you to come to Acapulco next year?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:35 AM ET ) Well, I was approached for that tournament. Obviously, I would like to play. But it's very hard to talk about schedules for next year. It changes a lot.

Scott (New Jersey): Whst is the format of the tennis match tonight in NYC?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:36 AM ET ) The format will be the matches will start at 7:30. Jankovic and Venus will start and following that I will play Serena. The winners will play half an hour after the second match and they will play a normal best of 3 set.

Nitin, Clemson, SC: Hey Ana, I was wondering what you would consider your greatest achievement to date. Is it winning at Roland Garros? Or maybe reaching number one?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:37 AM ET ) For me, winning a Grand Slam. It was a special event in my career. It was even better because I made No. 1 in the world after, but it is something I will never forget.

Keith (NJ): What kind of impact has Billie Jean King had on your life?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:38 AM ET ) She's a great champion. She's brough so much to women's tennis. It's a great opportunity to participate in this event. She's a great woman. I'm sure I can learn a lot from her.

ray gordon reid darlington sc 29532: question TO ANA HI ANA WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE COUNTRY OR CITY YOU PLAYED TENNIS AT

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:38 AM ET ) It's hard to say. I love Australia. It's my favorite country to play. I have a lot of fans down there. I enjoy playing there.

victor(boston): as you think it will be a duel against Serena today?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:39 AM ET ) I think it's going to be a great match. We played just a few weeks ago in Dubai. She's tough to play against. Everything will be quick, so you have to be on the ball from the first point on.

Jeff (Iowa): Ana, who is your toughest opponent, someone you have really struggled against?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:40 AM ET ) It really depends on the level of the game at any given moment. There are lots of tough opponents out there. The Williams sisters are tough because they ahve a powerful game and it's not very common in women's tennis.

Yvonne, Germany: Hey Ana! How much hours do you practise tennis a day when there´s no tournament and how much time do you spend on doing fitness? All the best! :)

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:40 AM ET ) In the offseason, I usually do 3-4 hours of tennis a day, plus about 2 hours of fitness.

Jeff (Michigan): What is the most funniest thing that has happened to you on the tour?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:41 AM ET ) Between players, not so much. Even though we see each other week after week, we don't hang out much. But definitely, within the team, we have lots of funny experiences.

Gavin (Miami, FL): Hi Ana, I'm rooting for you all the way tonight; good luck! How do the setting and mood of this tournament compare to that of some others, such as the Slams or the Fed Cup?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:42 AM ET ) Thank you very much. This is going to be a great experience. I'm quite nervous, even though it's just an exhibition. I really want to go out there and enjoy it. It will be really special and something I won't forget.

Pete; Las Vegas: Are you happy about playing Serena in the first match?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:43 AM ET ) Obviously it's tough, but every player here is tough. It's going to be a great match. You ahve to be on the ball from the first moment on.

Xavier (France): Hi Ana. Sorry for my english. How do you feel before Indian Wells next week ? I hope that you will win this tournament. You are the best !

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:43 AM ET ) I feel good. I really felt like my game has been improving the last couple of weeks. It's a great event. I enjoy competing there. I'm looking forward to it to start.

Scott (New Jersey): Will you be staying to visit NYC after tonight or off to the next event?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:44 AM ET ) I'm off tomorrow to the next tournament. But I got here Friday night, so I had the weekend to see New York. It was amazing, I've never seen New York at this time of year. It's snowing today, so it's nice and cozy.

Don from Toronto: Ana, you appear to be hitting more topspin forehands and a kick serve. Are these shots you have been working on since last year?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:45 AM ET ) That's very observant. It's true. I worked a lot on my spin on my shots and my serve. It's a plan for me. An aggressive game is something I want to implement in my matches.

Heather (Greenville, SC): What are some of your favorite places to visit in NYC?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:45 AM ET ) We're staying just across from Central Park. That was nice. We have a view of the Park with the snow, so that's not bad. And I have to confess, I've been shopping!

Stetson Thomas: North Augusta, South Carolina: Where do you rank yourself among the top players on tour and behind who?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:46 AM ET ) I think rankings, everyone that has a position deserves that position. It's fair enough. Everyone's aiming for the top. But overall, I think the rankings are pretty fair.

Aska (Poland): How do you feel before the game, I will keep fingers crossed for you greetings from Polish fans.

Scott (New Jersey): Do you enjoy any other sports besides tennis?

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:47 AM ET ) Yeah, I enjoy basketball. My father was a basketball player. Water polo and volleyball is pretty big in Serbia, so I always follow that.

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Ana Ivanovic: (10:48 AM ET ) Thanks for supporting me. It's great to know that I have a lot of supporters in the States. I hope you enjoy this event tonight!

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Buzzmaster: (10:48 AM ET ) Thanks Ana!

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Buzzmaster: (10:48 AM ET ) She was super nice.

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Buzzmaster: (10:49 AM ET ) To all you New Englanders out there, New York City got 10-12 inches of snow today and Ana said the City was ''cozy.'' So, hey, Connecticut, stop freaking out about all the snow.

Tom (West Bloomfield, MI): It was hilarious that Xavier said excuse my English, when he was one of the best English speakers in that segment of the chat.

Bunker (New York): Good luck defending indian wells title. Keep on smiling

tom* (parkville, md): You should introduce her to Matt Damon.

Heather (Greenville, SC): Yes, she's lovely! Thanks Ana! :D

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Buzzmaster: (10:50 AM ET ) I was a pretty big fan of hers before, but after that chat, I think I am more of a fan. She was really cool.

LadyBuzz (Bristol): "Nice" huh? You better watch it

It went on and on. They were talking a little about Sharapova later on

Jeff (Iowa): I saw Sharapova at an airport years ago, and could not believe how tall she was.

http://a.espncdn.com/i/sn2.gif Buzzmaster: (10:55 AM ET ) I thought the same thing when I saw her. She was taller then most of the people she was with in the commercial crew.

The worst of the snow is over but all the players would have to be here by now. It wouldn't make sense if they were planning to fly in today and play today. Venus isn`t too far away, being as she was in Mexico, so she shouldn`t be too jetlag for today. I am so looking forward to it, hopefully I will get ot see an all WS final.

anyone else confused by this? a powerful game is not common? :confused:In whole history of womens tennis just about 10 players belong to WTA "power-tennis" group. Fact that almost all of them is slam winners or former #1 is reason why it just seems that power-tennis "dominate" in womans game last 20 years. But fact is that we have so far just about 10 "power-players" and about 10.000 "others" :p
