The answer is VENUS WILLIAMS!

Since 2000 began Venus has won 4 GS majors, 19 titles out of 34 tournaments entered (a phenomenal winning % of .559!); has an incredible overall match record of 144-15 or .906; has a combined record of 55-11 or .833 against all top 10 players (including a combined record of 16-2 against Davenport, Hingis, and Capriati, 17-2 against Seles, Henin and Mauresmo, and 9-5 against Clijsters, Dokic, and Serena. Furthermore no player has beaten Venus more than ONCE since 1999 except Serena who has the ONLY winning record against her sister during the past 32 months and even it is a mere 3-2 (by constrast Serena has won 33 fewer matches than her sister and lost 4 more matches than Venus, has won 8 fewer titles, and 2 fewer GS majors since the new century began). Venus also has a better head-to-head record overall against other top 10 players.

It should also be pointed out that Venus has the best winning percentage record in the WTA overall for GS majors, tour titles, and matches during this time period.

I mention these facts because far too many fans, media analysts, and players alike are strangely not truly acknowledging who has been the finest and most dominant player over the past three years, and because many people now seem to have the severely mistaken idea that Venus will merely be tennis roadkill for Serena from this point onward. However nothing could be further from the truth...

 What matters is this year and this year Serena has won 2 slams and Venus is slamless. And also Serena is 3-0 against Venus (all in straight sets).

Thats not suprising as Venus was so dominant in 2000 and pertty much the same in 2001

the XXI century begun the 1st of January of 2001 (ask to any Astronomer or mathematician).

actually venus haven't won a single Tier I or GS tournament this year:rolleyes:

Well the 21st century DID begin at 1st January 2001, and that means Venus STILL has the best winning record. What are you guys talking about Serena?

Venus has 4 slam finals and 2 slam wins AND 13 tournament wins (more than anyone else) so far in the 21st century.
