Article translated into English:

Everyone today. It has come to the NY with work of explanation of the US OPEN. It is abrupt, but today again there is a BIG NEWS in everyone. In the past it reported that you participate in the exhibition match " of AIG OPEN 2002 " October 4th, but before the that, it starts from September 16th, we had decided to participate in the tournament of the doubles " of TOYOTAPRINCESS CUP 2002 ". Miho Saeki is her partner. From around July you strove for practicing and training destined for the October エキジビ, but active service retiring, when 6 years..., now then it begins practice, also desire arising, because it perseveres, here and there of the body is screaming. Even now, being in the NY, being the case that everyday it can do training of course, returning home even when without, you must face to the tournament in several days. Because the TOYOTA PRINCESS CUP is regular game of the WTA, while the エキジビ the strain which is different feeling, you think it means to play. To somewhere you do not know whether the tournament which can do his own agreement is possible, but you think we would like to see, we would like to try doing the fact that current by his can do in the maximum. " Active return? The しれません not being, so, because as for participating in regular game you think, whether " with the person who is thought it is, whether it is not with this to become last when there is a time, please come to support in the propriety daybreak. [ #1 ] reply: [ #214 ] lap mail: [ 09/01 13:47 ] titles: Surprise BIG NEWS! Please enjoy greatly. When you look at the public child which, is made lively I become pleasant. Nevertheless and it is the daybreak? In Osaka very there is no game of this て, don't you think? is.

My Kanji knowledge is weak;but the third character
looked like a "Mi". I think Kimiko will play doubles
with Miho Saeki. It's not Ai's name, nor Fujiwara
so it must be Miho.

Anyway- Kimiko is interesting. She just disappeared
from public view from 1996- 1998. She starts doing
bits commentary for TV. She's still not doing much in
1998, and wham! 1999. Kimiko starts a kid's tennis
school, starts doing TV commentary for tennis matches.
Appears with Steffi on her farewell tour, and does
exhibition matches.

2000 - 2002 Kimiko writes two books about her life
in tennis. Marries a German Formula 1 race car driver.
Starts to help out Japanese WTA tennis players on tour.
Has her own radio show.

And now....the COMEBACK!! Well..comeback of sorts.
I bet; hanging around Shinobu Asagoe and Ai Sugiyama
at the Grand Slams made Kimiko want to play tennis again.
The Race car husband is on tour on the Japanese Grand Prix
tour- so he's not around.

That was a pretty weird translation. lol.
I don't have the software- so I usually just
use "Shodouka" and type in the web address
to decode the Japanese characters. :)

I really thing these stars of the 90's are bored
with the "family" thing. It sounded so great
before;but the desire to compete must be to
much to hold back. :)

Oh. Didn't Miho and Ai get smacked by Natasha
and Chanda this week? Oh. Maybe Shinobu
can team up with Kimiko- I don't trust Miho's nerves.
That's one thing I remember about Kimiko- she had
nerves of steel. She was so solid.

It will be just great to see Kimiko back in action again -- I'll never forget the Wimbledon match where, if only it had played a little earlier in the day, she surely would've beaten Steffi Graf -- she had her on the ropes but good! But alas, play was called for darkness! I think that was 1995 semis -- was it?

1996 semi - Kimiko is an extraordinary talent I just love the way she would use players power against them - Watch out Serena if she returns to singles action!
