Anna has to get some wins. She has almost no points since last August.
But she played okay against Dokic and Fed Cup. She has to keep improving on that

i'll be happy if she wins a round, its a togh section, if she comes out of it it will be a turn around of form.

I don't see any easy sections for Anna.
There's Cibulkova, Wozniacki, Razzano, Kanepi.
A whole bunch of decent players are spread out.
Anna has to play well. Players are not going to let her win. She has to go win these matches like she used to

Considering the kind of results she's been having lately, a first-round bye is not really welcome at this point.
She needs to believe in herself, to remember what she is capable of. Whoever she ends up playing in the 2nd round, I hope she gets off to a good start, doesn't choke if she takes the lead, and doesn't lose it emotionally if things get tight.

Please win a match Anya :awww::hug:

somebody teach chak how to sserve please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mar 14th, 2009, 04:43 AM
she actualy won, im so relieved, that was hell the serve is a mess, 14 df's is just disgusting.

the thing i and hopefuly chak takes from it is she beat a good player without a serve, imagine if she served just average for a math lol.

only her 2nd win this year but thank fuly they've both come at mandatory events, so hopefuly if she picks up form she can throw away bad results and not have 0 pointers on her ranks from bad mandatory's.

well done chak, you kill me!

I guess the win over makarova should give her some confidence since Makarova beat her at the USO. It definitely will be a mental boost for Anna.

Hitting 14 DFs in just 11 service games is awful, no question about it, but the really amazing thing is that Anna actually managed to serve out the match.:worship:

I was utterly convinced this one was going to three sets after she blew a 4-2 lead in the 2nd and Makarova held easily at 4-4. I was expecting Anna to completely lose her composure and give the set (and even the match) away (hey, it's not like it's never happened before), but thankfully the meltdown didn't happen. :yeah:

somebody teach chak how to sserve please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK. I'll do it! :wavey:

:bounce: First win in five weeks. Now go for another straight sets against Shahar. Shahar got her only win against Anna at Indian Wells two years ago.

But now she's back to 4-4 :bounce:
Are you watching it somewhere?

HowardH

Oh, she lost, 6-2 6-4. I know Shahar has found some of her old form, but still... Anna needs to find her form. At least we had that fashion show Anna did at Indian Wells where she looked :hearts:

Oh dear. :sobbing:

Anna didn't hold serve until late in the 2nd set, when she was already down 2-6 1-4. :help:

She put on a good last-ditch effort to get back to 4-4 (I think she even had a BP for 5-4), but she's not going to win many matches serving like that.

I'm actually glad I didn't get to see this train wreck. I could almost *feel* her lack of confidence just by following the score.

Ugh, I can't believe she lost so badly. Anna pretty much owned Shahar before this. It wasn't even competitive.
