"The fall didn't look serious but the doctor said that I should not play tennis for 5 weeks. I'm forced now to withdraw from all tournaments after Wimbledon and I just hope that I will have enough time to prepare to the tournament in New York." said Alicia.

What a tournament for Cibulkova!!! She claims her first tour title, and what a time to do it! Great comeback tournament for Cornet, who seemed to just run out of steam a little today as she allowed Cibulkova to get 5-0 leads in each set, which proved too much to fight back from. Corent has shown that she has what it takes to get back to the top end of the game.Cibulkova pretty much cuts her ranking in half after her result here, and she will hope to carry on her sparkling form onto the hard courts
