She's signed on to play mixed doubles with Australian Paul Hanley, at the Australian Open.
First doubles match in a loooooooong time. Probably about 4 years, with the exception of the $10K loss with Astrid Besser. :tape:

Tomorrow, but she isn't playing tomorrow, she'll play Saturday most likely... In that case I will try and go.

Dokic & Hanley are last on Show Court 3 tomorrow.

I would really love to see her play some more doubles. Get herself some more matchplay, and also increase her confidence at the net. She has such great drives from the back of the court, that she really should follow a few more of them into the net.

I wonder if Rennae gave her any pointers?

Since they've played together many times before (including after Dokic quit Australia), I'm sure not many pointers were required.

Since Jelena hasn't played doubles in years (ITFs doesn't count), I'm sure some she wouldn't mind getting some reminders/pointers. :shrug:

Jelena and Alisa are 5th ( :o ) ( last ) on court #10. How smart, she wont have enough time to recover for R2 which she will play on thursday.

Well the good thing is that she'll be winded. Most of the times this works well for her.

Plus Jelena can only practice for an hour tomorrow and treat the doubles match as more practice.

I think she'll be fine honestly.

I think Jelena will be just fine. She looks fitter to me than she did at both Indian Wells and Miami. Doubles will be a good chance for her to keep working on her game (especially her net play) and acclimate to the clay since she hasnt played many matches on the surface this year. It should be a fun experience for her. Best of luck to her:)
