You have your upturns and your downturns. She had her upswing during Roland Garros and also in beating Testud at Wimbledon, she got her ranking up into the Top 50 in a quick space of time..... quite frankly, ever since she came back, I knew she'd have these periods of brilliance and she'd also have lacklustre periods and this just happens to be that period.... you kind of have to expect this when you're a mary fan! :)

I really think that loss to Granville at Wimbledon really threw Mary for a loop; she hasn't been the same since that match. :(

Yeah well - you have your bad days and your good days.
The fact remains that:
a. Mary has been a world-class player
b. She still hits the ball better than 99% of the tour - is up there with Williams, Capriati, Davenport
All Mary needs to do is get much, much faster on her feet and I hope this fall she attempts to seriously work on this. If she does that her results will surely improve!
