Serving in the second was a little  with all the breaks, but other than that :D

Second career QF at a tour event!

Woo, go Anne - so nice to see the wins coming for her at tour level after all her years of never quite stepping up from ITFland.

Didn't see this one... did she play well or was CSN dismal?

No one saw it, but judging from the way the score went the second set in particular seemed like neither player really stepped up. Anne held twice and CSN held once in that whole set.

This is great for Anne. Comfortable scoreline, two straight sets wins, second best performance at a WTA event ever already and assured of a career high by the end of this week :hearts: keep it going :D
Ayumi looks like an easy opponent on paper but Im not so sure  shes on such a winning streak and If Anne improves her serve that could be key. It would be great if she started the year of with a SF. Good Luck

sooo happy, she truly is doing Britain proud. I reallly hope she can take Morita out and then play with nothing to lose against (most probably) Wozniacki-even in that match she is assured she wont be blown of the court.

Well done Anne, these are the types of results that shows that she deserve her current ranking :) Morita will be tough, but no reason why she can't keep the run going and edge closer to the top 50.

I'm suprised Carla actually got to the second round, that loopy forehand is just so ineffectual on any surface bar clay. Not suprising that Anne probably out-hit her in this match.

Good result for Anne, she's been on a great surge these past 7 months or so.

wooooooooooooo! so im assuming now she goes above sam smiths 56 rank to become the highest ranked female brit since jo 'lumberjack' durie!

well done anne your doing us proud, top 50 must be so close!

Hahaha! Lumberjack Durie! She sounds like a wrestler! And if you seen her in the seniors at Wimbledon, she looks like one 2! Although saying that, I have nothing but love for Jo, any brit that beat Steffi Graf at Wimbledon gets my respect and admiration. Doesn't matter that Steffi was only 6 years old or something at the time - a win is a win is a win!

Well done Anne! Lets get to the SF! I seriously think she could be seeded for Wimbledon! :bounce:

Ayumi seems to be on a streak right now so could be tricky, but not the worst opponent in the world to face in a QF. Anne can do it!
