i wanted to do a "peak" thread hahaha

Anna Kournikova vs Maria Kirilenko

Kournikova:
never won a singles tournament
but had some good appearances in majors and won some grand slam doubles titles

Kirilenko:
has won 5 tournaments
but her best appearance in a grand slam was a 4r

IMO i will pick kournikova
:bounce:

I'd say Kournikova, since she made it to #8 in the world at one point and also made a Grand Slam semifinal, but that said, I'm hoping Kirilenko hasn't reached her "peak" yet :)

I thought with the season starting the peak threads would finally stop. :tape:

Probably Kournikova but Kirilenko hasn't peaked yet.

And yeah, Maria hasn't reached her peak yet. It will have to be either this season or next at the latest though.

In a tournament final, Kirilenko wins. In any othe match, Kournikova wins.

Kournikova definately had a better career. As for an actual matchup, I'm not sure. Anna's serve breaks down very easily. It would work give a big advantage for Maria, who has a very good return.

Kournikova retired. Kirilenko is still playing and she's only 21. And Kirilenko hasn't peaked yet. I predict that other than the glamorous part of the tour, Kirilenko will have a better career.
