Well the clay season is finished, and we now move on to the British grass season, which is a short yet highly anticipated 3 weeks of tennis. Serena triumphed in Paris to claim her second Slam title, and will be looking to do well here as defending champ. The transition from clay to grass is never easy, so this week will be very interesting, and could give a good indication of who to look for at Wimbledon in 2 weeks time.

Great win for Cirstea, who picks up her debut title. Harkleroad was the favourite coming into the match-up, but Cirstea has played great tennis all week, and continued that here, denying Harkleroad her third title of the season. Despite winning the title, Cirstea only moves up one spot in the rankings, whilst Harkleroad's impressive rise continues jumping 4 spots to #11.
