The way I see it, this is a true test to see if Melanie is good enough to be in the Main draw of AO. She gets the toughest draw possible!

2r: Nara
QF: Date-Krumm

If she does win here (or reaches the final), then without a doubt she deserves to be in Melbourne. I'm not betting on it.

Lauren needs to rethink her schedule for 2009. This year she played 29 ITFs jetting in a crazy pattern to distant places like Nigeria, Belarus, US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Japan, and now she's still on the entry list for Dubai  I think she'd have better results if she had a smarter schedule. :smash: She burns me out just watching her show up on entry lists

She still is in the order of play of tomorrow and a 6:0 in the third set doesnt suggest any injury.

So good! She's on a massive winning streak now. Probably makes up for her massive losing streak earlier in the year. :D
Keep it up next year!

Fantastic week for Ksenia, she probably just ran out of steam.

Ayumi :bounce: She was probably the favourite for the title since the beginning given she is on a massive winning streak. Keep it up!

Ayumi has had a nice year after all. I'm surprised she isn't ranked higher. She started the season quite well, but had an awful clay court season, which is not surprising. The most surprising was seeing her lose all her matches on grass. And finally she regrouped well to end the year on hardcourt. Congrats to her on winning this :).
