They were the two Challenger winner feed ups into the main draw and then they drew one another so it was a good draw for both of them.

Sad to see the ignorance of some people here. :o

Before the US Open there was hardly anybody who knew Julie Coin and now everybody is shocked when she loses in 25k's to players such as Laisne and Shapatova are. Who knows, maybe the will get into the Top100 someday, but even if they dont challenger players are part of the tour and also deserve respect.
