Just like for Karatantcheva, things are going downwards as the season gets deep for Mirjana. I think it's time for her to call it a season, and try to train very hard to be back stronger next year.

Amanda really isn't that bad, you guys.

NCAA National Champion last year and she hits with a lot of topspin and is very aggressive.

I was about to say the same thing; she's actually a good player, and she is only ranked so low, because she has to play for Georgia Tech for nine months of the year, so she can't play many pro tournaments. It's not a great result, and Mirjana probably should have won, but it's not as bad as it looks on paper.

I was about to say the same thing; she's actually a good player, and she is only ranked so low, because she has to play for Georgia Tech for nine months of the year, so she can't play many pro tournaments. It's not a great result, and Mirjana probably should have won, but it's not as bad as it looks on paper.

Couts needed that win, it's been a while since she's won a match. Maddy has now lost three straight times to Oudin since the U.S. Open Junior, I think she's the better of the two so Mel just must be in her head.

Oh no, what did Julie do wrong?

 Drama ?

Okay, this is going to sound so immature and whatever but I don't care. They're my feelings and that's how I feel.

You guys know in New Haven I talked with Julie for a long time and she was super awesome. Gave her that poster, yada yada. She asked if I'd go to the US Open qualies, I said I couldn't only go on Wed or Thurs (and she of course lost on Tues).

So whatever, ANYWAY. Friend found her on facebook. I friended her and sent her a message. Like, remember me from NH? Good luck this Fall, yada yada, all gay fan crap.

So what does she do? She ignores the message and denies the request. I know this is normal but maybe if you're like in the top 20 in the world and have tons of fans. But .. you're Julie Ditty. I was just really offended and I feel like she was a sham. Like okay, deny the request but respond to the message. Something along those lines. I am pretty positive she doesn't get 20098430493 emails from fans a day.

I know I'm overreacting and I should just like her tennis, but sorry, can't help it.

I think you have reason to be upset, as you went out of your way to do something nice for her, and you've supported her for a long time. The least she could do is accept your friend request. Like CrossCourt~Rally said, though, it is possible that Julie was not the one who turned you down, and I really hope she didn't. The one time I met her at Wimbledon she was so kind and gracious, even after losing a tough doubles match. It's a tough call.

She added me a long time ago so I think she had someone else do it. Try again and add her

What a dominating week! Looks like it'll be time for you to move back up to the tour next year. :yeah:

And hopefully she's signed up for Quebec too.

She has a beautiful game, and I always thought she would be a staple in the Top 50. Stay healthy and good luck in 2009. :D

SOOOOOO Happy for Shenay! She's such a nice person, and she really works hard, so she deserves all of her success. A few more good tournaments and AO Qualies are a possibility!

Julie and Carly :D They really might be a team to watch out for in 2009. They've only played five tournaments together and have already won two challengers, reached the finals of another, and reached the 3rd round at the US Open. 15-3 record together since pairing up

Great tournament for Yayuk and Romana as well!

Julie :sobbing: - must have been dead tired for the final since she played a long match against Mel + all the doubles.

Congrats to Shenay tho :yeah:
Hopefully we'd start seeing her playing WTA soon.

I forgot to congratulate one of my favorite Americans. Well done Shenay! :)

I can't wait to see her play again, she was so fun to watch back in 2006 when she was playing well.
