Thats because, the tie breaks were played against lower players ...against good opponents, she loses in straight sets.

The fact that Kuznetsova and Hantuchova are #2 and #3 mean that the list is complete crap.

Agree, she cannot even force a third set.

Call it however you like but do not claim that your data proves who 'has nerves of steel and which falter under pressure'. Otherwise you arrive at the absurd proposition that Hantuchová and Vaidišová have nerves of steel while, say, Serena Williams and Radwańska falter under pressure. There may be a different explanation, namely that players like Serena and Agnieszka if they ever need to go tho the decider Tie Break, are pressed to do that rarely as compared to the total number of times they play, and then usually against the best players.

I agree, but I don't think Radwanska exactly sets the standard for having steely nerves.

I am not insisting she does, but if how she plays big points is any indication, then I would say she is doing pretty well in that department.

I think if you are in a third set TB you are definitely on one level with your opponent, at least for this very match. That's why I decided to include qualies and ITF as well, because it doesn't matter how your opponent is ranked when you are in a third set TB.

The fact that Kuznetsova and Hantuchova are #2 and #3 mean that the list is complete crap.

Of course, the list is crap when it comes to who "has nerves of steel". That was a Cp6uja-like slogan. But I think its still interesting. I mean why do you think one has a ratio of 0.785? Luck? Maybe to some extend, but if you are 11-3 you must have at least some kind of mental strength.

Yeah, much as I love Lena I would agree that some of the three-set thrillers were against players she should have dispatched with greater ease.
