OMG that is pathetic.

Didn't Kournikova set the record at 30+ dfs in one match? This is close.

Martha tried to set a record and win a match. Failed at both. http://msnsmileys.net/c/smileys/Crystalmess/Sad.png

I don't know why people think this is a bad era in women's tennis. Sharapova, Domachowska, and Puchkova have all come close to being all-time DF LEGENDS this year. There's never been such strong competition for this record. :worship:

If you want to talk about a weak era, Kournikova had NO competition when she hit 31 DF's. :rolleyes:

wasn't kournkova like 16 when she hit 31 df's in a match and it was a 10-8 in the 3rd win so a long match, also she was playing against a very inexperienced player.

as for marta where are all those people that proclaim shes uber talented, because i'd like them to explain this lol.

as for akgul, she should have won the 1st set also.

I mean she had no competition for the prestigious DF record :D

She was 18, by the way. Playing a veteran.

Domachowska fans can post what they won't. She is pathetic - she has one win over top 50 player in 2 years. She is running like Davenport, Seles, Bartoli and Osterloh and now she wants to serve like Demeniteva.

Only facts :o

Sorry but it's bull shit. She has contract with adidas, wilson and after Warsaw exh. with Suzuki. She has very rich parents, her own house in Spain.

What financial problems? :tape::tape: :confused:

well, ask her! It has been her main excuse in this fuss with the trainers lately. Both she and her former coach used this argument. And I still remember this lovable line from gazeta.pl, when they were explaining the reasons why she wouldn't invest in a new coach, and i'll try to quote, "gdyż- jak Marta często powtarza- nie ma pieniędzy i musi oszczędzać"

They played 235 points, Marta only 3 less than Akgul, and 19 df more than Akgul. That's funny :lol:

And to everyone who's gonna question that - Yes, I still like her a lot and cheer for her :) Go M. :)

Poor Marta! That's harsh. :o I hope she'll have better form in her next match... Congratulations, Akgul.

(Speaking of Kournikova, I remember watching that Kournikova vs. Saeki match - was it really almost ten years ago? :eek: *wince* I was never really a Kournikova fan but I've a lot of respect for the way she overcame her serving difficulties - it was tough for her for a while... )
