Welcome to the beautiful Canadian city of Montreal for the next stop on the OWTT Tour. Since the start of the US Open Series 2 weeks ago, Hantuchova and Serena have been the leaders of the pack, picking up titles in Stanford and Los Angeles, respectively.
This is the only Tier I stop before the US Open so this event will be pivotal in the US Series Race, as well as the seedings for the Open, so all the women will be fighting tooth and nail this week.

Yeh I noticed that she has been sucking at the Tier I and Slams this season. But still 4 titles already is good compared to your season start last season! :yeah:
Well, it's so obvious that I am here week in week out trying to chase my 2nd career title, but I realise it's not that easy especially a lot of bitches playing good tennis on tour. At the past, I couldn't even care about playing my great tennis, busy with other things as my life not 100% all about tennis, beside tennis, I am working as a financial Controller at one of the biggest Accoutning Firm in the world.
I think people are so stupid when they life rely and depends on tennis, when you get old, when you can't even hit the balls, what are they going to use ? as their brain as flat as their ass!

Golovin humiliates Paszek
French tennis star Tatiana Golovin completely outplayed the talented youngster, Tamira Paszek, in the second round in Montreal. The Roland Garros champion, who had bye in the first round, wasted no time as she raced to a 6:0,6:0 win in just 35 minutes.
“Yeah, I played really well today, definitely one of the best matches in a while. It’s my second double bagel, I beat Vaidisova 6:0, 6:0 last year, and I almost double bageled Benesova once, but then I felt sorry for her and gave her a pity game, so I know how to do it. It's nothing new for me. (laughter)”

Tati, as her fans call her, celebrates her win against Tamira Paszek
When asked if she feels sorry for her opponent, the talented Frenchwoman responded:” Not really. You know, it’s sport you have ups and downs and today was an up for me and a down for Tamira. She’s still very young so she can learn from this and try not to make the same mistakes in her future matches. I just think that when I play my game this is what the outcome should be like and she shouldn’t feel sorry for herself either cuz she lost to the best player on the tour.”
Her comments on the current state of the tour: “It’s a shame really. I haven’t been playing that well lately, ever since I won the French. I’m still a bit in clouds you know, it was a great achievement so I wasn’t really concentrated on tennis lately. Also some really bad players, for example Daniela Hantuchova have been winning a lot lately and that’s not very good for the image of OWTT. I’m trying my best to make the tour fun for the fans, but there’s only so much you can do. It’s a shame that other players suck so bad, it really is. I feel this could be a lot more competitive if they actually knew how to play tennis. I’m enjoying all the attention I’m getting, of course I am, but I really want to see some good players on the tour to make it more fun.”
The crowd favourite Tatiana next faces Gisela Dulko for a place in the QF.

Hantuchova denies Wickmayer
http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/0fbrexl2NE3G8/610x.jpg
It was a sunny day in Montreal and all the top players were out in action. The day started with the early upset of world number one Serena Williams. Serena had set points before losing her second round match in straights to Iroda Tulyganova. Another top seed, Daniela Hantuchova was much better today. She was playing agianst the talented Belgian Yanina Wickmayer. Yanina came oyt strong and Hantuchova was lethargic. The Slovakian was broken three times which was enough to bring the slovakian down 6-0 2-0. Hantuchova had a different idea in mind though. Hantuchova's forehand would hit any forehand perfectly and hit a whopping 16 winners off that side. The match would sway Hantuchovas way and she wouldnt lose another game taking the match 0-6 6-2 6-0

As the round of sixteen approaches at Montreal this week Russian Dinara Safina knows that every win in this tournament will get her a step closer to the number one ranking. After OWTT superstar Serena Williams was bundled out in the round of thirty two, the door has been left ajar for Safina to get closer to the pinnacle of the game. The irony being that Safina has not yet won an OWTT title despite four finals appearances in recent times.

Eyes On The Prize - Dinara Safina hopes to make ground on Serena Williams #1 Ranking spot this week.
After a solid win over Wozniacki in the round of thirty two Safina will now meet Martina Hingis in what is sure to be a great battle. "Martina may be getting on but she has a court savvy second to none" said Safina. "You cannot rest against her or she will put you away"
When asked about the two issues that seem to haunt Safina she had simple answers. Would she win a title? "I am making finals, it is a matter of time, I remain confident and keep trying my best" And could she get to number one? "It would take a lot of me winning and Serena losing for that to happen. I may keep winning but Serena is freakish and sure to bounce stright back to her unbeatable best"
Courtesy of this article we are now much closer to the round of sixteen starting and all eyes will be on centre court for the epic Hingis Safina match late in the round.

It makes the game much more intersting, and I like reading them :)
Portuguese, fifteen years old Michelle Larcher de Brito advanced today into the quarterfinals of the Rogers Cup in Montreal. In the Round of 16 she was pushed by Nathalie Dechy into three sets. She lost the 1st set by 1-6, but got strength to win the match with 1-6 6-4 6-3.
"It was a great match and Dechy is a great player and she did really well in the first set but I recovered in the second and the third was really mine. That way to win gives me a lot of confidence." The portuguese said.
Michelle will now face Argentinian Gisela Dulko who is in the Quarters after beating Tatiana Golovin in three sets. "She is a great player and it is going to be complicated, but I want to win and advance to the semis."The portuguese said. The match will be played tomorrow in Montreal.

Congratulations to Hantuchova who wins her 4th title of the season. She has won 3 of the last 4 tournaments on tour and is definitely the hottest player right now. Hantuchova steamrolled her inexperienced opponent today. Larcher-de-Brito took an early break in each set but just couldn't match Hantuchovas game - still a great week for her. This has been huge for Hantuchova, who will rise to #3 in the rankings, she also takes the Race #1 position, as well as guaranteeing she finishes #1 in the US Open Series Race so huge congrats to her! :)
