Alizé LIM

I am surprised no one started a thread yet to support her :).

Alizé LIM was born on 13/07/1990 according to her ITF biography.

She obtained her first international ranking this summer, after her good results in Morocco (Casablanca + Rabbat x 2).

She is ranked #950 this week , but will without doubt move up in the future.

She is playing this week (01 Sep to 07 Sep 2008) the $10,000 Brasov (Romania).

Alizé LIM is planned next week (08 Sep to 14 Sep 2008) in the $10,000 Innsbruck (first choice).
She is currently #1 in the qualifying list.

Her likely tournament the week after (15 Sep to 21 Sep 2008) would be the $10,000 Limoges (first choice). She stands #4 in the qualifying list.

Tough results in Brasov and Innsbruck where she lost in the 1st round.
Limoges qualifyings are starting this week. She is seeded #2 in the qualifyings and will face Laura ROBSON (GBR) for a place in the main draw.
Her next tournament will be $10,000 Clermont Ferrand (22 Sep to 28 Sep 2008).

She lost to Robson 6/2 6/0. Tough loss but Robson is one of the favorites for the title.

Alizé LIM was in Joue-Les-Tours Qualifying Draw but lost in the first round to Elixane LECHEMIA. Elixane is now in the final round of the qualifyings.

Tough draw, but a good experience as it is Alizé LIM first $50k tournament.

On the French ranking side (for those who understand this complicated system), Alizé LIM is now ranked "-30", which is the last step before a "Promotion" national ranking (and "Première serie").

Saw her playing in El Menzah.
Lost in 2nd round to Ganna Piven (UKR) 0-6, 5-7.
In 2nd set G.Piven stopped playing and let Alize get some advantage but no serious fight. Unfortunately. Had no chance. First seed was stronger with few faults. In the final beated a girl from the Netherlands.
Watched some weak points in Alize tennis and the sooner she improves - the better otherwise she stops at a present ranking level.
First she needs to improve the serve. Firs and what is more important - second. The girls will hit her off with such a weak 2nd serve. %20-25 for the first serve so she looses her points and goes to 2nd serve which is a lucky present for the opponents.
There are some other point to be definetly work out but all fade out to the serve.
Pitty she has a coach (sorry, coach!)that does little to her serve.
She's a good girl and can reach much more.
Anyway hope she succeed on both 10th in France:):)

Very windy conditions and some drizzle at the beginning of the match but cleared soon and no rain after few minutes in the start ;)

1st set was very close and went to tiebreak where Alize was 0-3 down but then she found her rhythm and took next 7 points :D
2nd set Alize was 3-0 up, then some hiccups and Lisa-Marie levelled to 3-3 and had 40-0 but after that Alize lifted her game and won the match :)
