I came across this by accident today:

http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/2/players/playerprofiles/playerheadtoheaddetail.asp?PlayerID=230220&Player1ID=230220&x=6&y=1

It's weird that the loss numbers are correct but the wins number doesn't add up to the wins + losses, as in total matches played.

Well I only skimmed through each of them but on Venus' head to head against Venus you can see that her last match is her win over 'Venus' (Serena) at Wimbledon 2008. They are pretty much all there, it's just that some of them have the wrong name as the winner, the ranks/seedings are the ranks/seedings of whoever her opponent was. Also though the number of losses is correct, the number of wins is incorrect and it doesn't even amount to the amount of wins + losses but I haven't gone through each and every match in the list to see if there are any further oddities.

I don't think the wtatour H2H database is designed for people to do this!

I think a reason for the number of extra "wins" is that it counted all the byes and possibly the walkovers on the list.

yes. I just looked at Wozniacki. It is much easier to figure out when looking at somebody with a shorter career. It says 73-40 here: http://www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/2/players/playerprofiles/playerheadtoheaddetail.asp?PlayerID=313402&Player1ID=313402
but she is only 72-40 on the profile page. I looked at all her matches, and she has had 1 bye in her career. So the extra wins are byes. You can see it in 2006 Seoul, there is no score.
