She played already 6 times the qualies of a WTA tournament this year and won 2 games.

Playing ITF/WTA for 4 years and won 1 tournament. (+2 in Qualies ITF)

Then I think, why is she still trying at WTA?
ITF seems already above her league.

Since Brie is gone now, Anna Priska is hoping to become the most popular bagel girl at the tour.

It's just really strange. How is it actually possible that she's allowed to play qualies in Tier III? She's ranked 800.

I don't mind her trying to play these big tournaments, but if you can only win 2 games in 6 matches and haven't won a match in the last 3 years then I just laugh about it. Or it's actually sad.
I guess it cost her a lot of money and for what? Can you really have fun if you play against someone who is WAY stronger?
1 time can be fun, but not 3 years in a row.

T3 & T4 - Qualies are often so weak that it is not difficult to come inside them with a low ranking.

2007 Anne-Priska took 2 games from Knapp & 3 from Parra-Santonja ;)

How come? Sometimes you can´t even play qualies in 25,000 if you´re ranked 400.
This girl is ranked 800+

And rank doesn't matter?

For sure the ranking is also important. But the following topics must be kept in mind:

1.) It's much easier to collect points at ITF-events (and there are more ITF-events than WTA-qualies)
2.) There are quite a lot of withdrawls so even a very low ranked player may enter quali-round no. 1
3.) The entrance fee as mentioned by TBE
4.) The expenses (hotel/travelling): Only financial secure players can afford it

Result: The Brie Whiteheads jump right in

its not fair what you are all saying about her or about other bagel girls ... its their dream to play at the pro level and it makes them feel good when they can travel around the world and can say I travel to play a professional tennis event ... I can understand why they are doing this and I would do the same if I would have enough money ...

and about the picture... she just plays a slice it would look the same if any other player would hit the ball with a slice shot so what

I have personally seen Anne Priska play. She lost 6-3 6-2 to Subbadharmi Sundaram in the match I watched. She is MUCH better than what I have seen of Brie. She just has no weapons. She is a club player and plays as if she is practicing, doesn't go for her shots much. Her shots don't have much power but aren't really weak either. Her serve is just okay. She is just plain average.

You have a heart of gold and an idealistic attitude - I have always admired you for that
But the bitter reality for Anne-Priska may be: it might lead to nowhere

By my count she's at 55 losses in a row. The longest losing streak that I know of was 56 losses in a row (see below), so if she keeps this up she'll break that easily and possibly have the all time record :worship:

Longest Losing Streaks That I Know Of

Danielle Spacek - 56 losses
Anne Priska Schaefer - 55 losses (and counting)
Stefanie Hershfield - 51 losses
Dewonder Davis - 50 losses

Anybody know of any other 50+ match losing streaks?

Yeah, I saw that. I had been debating whether or not to include Charity Johns in my upcoming Top 50 Worst Players of the Past ??? Years thread, but now that I know she lost 2-6, 1-6 to a player who had lost her previous 83 matches I think I'm definitely going to have to include her :worship:
