I just wonder one thing- why need to play doubles on every tournament? Not better concentrate on singles? Also i think it would be better for her to play more on diffrent surfaces...Anyway, could be nice semifinal vs Caroline...Finaly they have a chance to play each other when both in form...

I would have prefered her withdrawal since the very beginning but that's brave from her to have tried .
I also wish she played a hard court event in Europe before flying to China... But she surely wants to privilege freshness over references and that may not be a bad idea after all.

Possibly, but doubles can be useful for helping to improve the all-round game. Too many people these days don't know what to do if they aren't on the baseline, so it's good she's playing some doubles. But she does need some rest certainly.

Maybe, but look what playing singles+doubles every day have caused... I'd change that double title from week ago to a second single title here. This tournament really was winnable , with a low form of Caroline and Agnes it really was the title to take...

She needs points to protect her top20 ranking...Now perspective of playing Olympics and USO with ZERO experience on hard this year looks pretty bad...
