Welcome to the newest game to Tennis Forum, WTPGA: Women's Tennis Professional Golfers Association. Like many of the weekly games your goal is to pick the correct winner of selected matches in the draw (18 matches for more tournaments 36-72 matches for bigger tournaments).
Each match will be assigned a "hole" number and a par. Depending on what par the match corresponds to will determine what specifics of the match you send.
PAR 3 Matches
If a match is assigned to a PAR 3, you will send an exact score of the match.
HOLE IN ONE (-2): Predicting the EXACT SCORE.
BIRDIE (-1): Predicting the correct set ratio with the correct winner.
PAR (E): Predicting the correct winner.
BOGEY (+1): Picking the loser, and the loser is higher ranked.
DOUBLE BOGEY (+2): Picking the loser, and the loser is lower ranked.
TRIPLE BOGEY (+3): Picking the loser, and the loser is a qualifier or wildcard.
QUADRUPLE BOGEY (+4): Picking the loser, and the loser is a lucky loser.
OTHER (+5): Not picking the match. (This will be upgraded to a TRIPLE BOGEY if the match doesn't feature a wildcard, qualifier or lucky loser.)
PAR 4 Matches
If a match is assigned to a PAR 4, you will send the set ratio for the match.
EAGLE (-2): Predicting the correct set ratio with the correct winner, AND the winner is LL/qualifier/wildcard.
PAR 5 Matches
If a match is assigned to a PAR 5, you will send the winner of the match.
DOUBLE EAGLE (-3): Predicting a lucky loser to win against a non lucky loser.
EAGLE (-2): Predicting a qualifier/wildcard to win against a non qualifier/wildcard.
BIRDIE (-1): Predicting the winner.
PAR (E): Picking the loser, and the loser is higher ranked.
BOGEY (+1): Picking the loser, and the loser is lower ranked.
DOUBLE BOGEY (+2): Picking the loser, and the loser is a qualifier or wildcard.
TRIPLE BOGEY (+3): Picking the loser, and the loser is a lucky loser.
QUADRUPLE BOGEY (+4): Not picking the match. (This will be upgraded to a DOUBLE BOGEY if the match doesn't feature a wildcard, qualifier or lucky loser.)
(In many cases in PAR 5s, double eagles & eagles won't be possible)
---
I hope that isn't too confusing for everyone. Pretty much you folks can just pick your matches and everything else will be done for you. The most important thing is to remember to send EXACT SCORES for PAR 3s, SET RATIOS for PAR 4s, and the winner for PAR 5s.
For the time being each tournament will be it's own round, and will not carry over to the next tournament.
Post your picks in this thread. :D
If the lower ranked player retires in a match it will be a PAR. If the higher ranked player retires in a match it will be a BOGEY. Tough luck, that's golf.
Prize Money, Player of the Year, & Scoring Average will be recorded in stats according to LPGA regulations.
If you have any questions please let me know, and I hope you enjoy the test run of this game. :D

Daily Wrap Day 2
lucian_iasi continued his strong play today maintaining a two shot lead over the field. In prime scoring conditions vamos israel, Alicia Rocks, and TennisPlayingFox joined lucian and Ivanovic Fan!!!! as the players under par.
The Par 5 9th proved to be extremely accessible as it yielded many double eagles, versus just a couple bogeys. On the contrary many players found holes 7 and 8 difficult, many suffering a bogey-bogey duo before the easy Hole 9.
A trio of players who began the day tied for 3rd dropped big. ViennaCalling and and Y.J.CHANfan both plummeted down to a tie for 10th, while fencer suffered even worse falling down to a tie for 14th.
In a miraculous comeback I <3 Lindsay who was at one point in double digits over par, found his game and began hitting his aggressive shots to good places. Despite being in a tie for 14th, the player improved his score by a whopping 6 shots.
The biggest fall was suffered by Adrian, who unfortunately mentally went on a walkabout, and is now 19 shots behind.
With a third of the course left to play, anything can happen.
[Regular Stroke Play will conclude Thursday, additional play-off matches to follow if needed.]
Day 1 Wrap-Up
lucian_iasi has grabbed the first day lead and has looked extremely impressive in the debut event on the Women's Tennis Professional Golf Tour. On a demanding layout lucian is thus far bogey free with four birdies in a row between the third hole to the sixth hole. He has a two stroke advantage over Ivanovic Fan!!!! who is the only other player under par with a pair of birdies on the 5th and 6th.
The course has played very difficult today, the first hole, which was expected to be an early birdie hole, only yielded one birdie, but also had a triple bogey, and the rest pars. Ï♥╚!ÑÞ§å¥ who suffered that triple bogey, played a very aggressive game, but has yet to see the benefits in last place 12 shots behind the leader.
With double bogeys prevelent, and many birdie holes on the next four holes, anything can happen. Who will win the first WTPGT tournament? Stay tuned.

Exactly, as the tournament goes along the rest of the holes will be filled in with more matches. Sometimes the latest rounds (semifinals/final) will be included, sometimes they won't. :)

Before I go to bed tonight I will post the next four holes (9-12) with the qualifiers added in.
Good luck to everyone

Special kudos for lucian & ivanovic fan for being the only two under par so far. There are a lot of matches left so anyone can come back. :)

That's exactly why I started it! Love these sports :D

Day 3 Wrap
For the first time in this round, lucian_iasi does not find himself with the solo lead going into the final four holes at the Bank of the West Classic. vamos_israel one of two players who managed a birdie-birdie duo at holes 13 & 14. Now these two are the favorites going for a shoot out in the final four holes.
Not to be outdone Ivanovic Fan!!! & Alicia Rocks are the only other players under par through 14 holes, two and three shots behind respectively. These four are the favorites going into the final stretch.
The biggest move the day came from tournament organizer Jamie RS, who also went birdie-birdie on 13 and 14. Jamie, who has been languishing in the bottom 50% all week, jumped up to 5th, and is back at even par. Showing that this game is a marathon, and not a race.
With eagle and birdie holes down the stretched, coupled with bad results for making mistakes, could prove to be a very exciting last 4 holes.
If players are tied after the 18 holes, we will move into extra holes tomorrow.
Despite finishing with a bogey, vamos israel used a solid back 9 to finish on top at the first tournament on the WTPGT. lucian_iasi who lead or had a share of the lead after the first 14 holes, was unable to finish strong to hold off vamos israel. vamos came in with a total of 30 and won by 3 shots.
Alicia Rocks had a promising finish, third place, at four under. The only other two players to finish under par, at one under were Law_ and tournament organizer Jamie RS.
The final hole proved to be one of the most difficult. It yielded no birdies, and only had one par, by MH0861.
